Best/worst affiliate managers. Best/worst affiliate managers.

over the months and years we'd have occasion to have dealings with dozens of affiliate managers at various poker sites and affiliate sites.

There is a huge difference in the quality of service and I wondered whether other affiliates would be happy to share their experiences?

From my own experience, in terms of quality of service, speed of response and availability, here are my choices....

Best : Betfred, Purple Lounge.

Worst : William Hill (Affiliates United)

It may not be fair to name the individual account manager at these sites here but if any other affiliates wanted to contact me via PM, that's fine.

I'm sure there will be occasions when someone highlights a site that provides good service when another person's experience may be the opposite so PM'ing the person may result in finding out that there may be different managers involved at the same company.

Just thought it would be a useful experiment.....

I mainly utilize Cake, Carbon, Bodog, Stars, Party, Cereus and Full Tilt, and I use a major affiliate above me, so I'm not dealing directly with these sites 99% of the time.

I haven't had any major issues aside from one at Full Tilt. They get negative points for poorly resolving an issue and costing me a lot of money. I wouldn't call them "the worst" or "terrible" by any means, this was just one incident in over 12 months of using them. Judging by their growth over the time period, they could very well easily be the largest affiliate, so some hiccups are expected, though not entirely excused.

PokerStars gets a few points knocked off for a lack of clarity, but they are new at this so I'm reserving judgment, as the rest of their brand has been top notch in my experience.

HeyPoker was just a nightmare and many others had the same experience. They gave me an under the table deal to offer then trapped me with their own employee and used it as an excuse to make no payments whatsoever. It seems to be a really amateur operation on every level. Although who knows maybe I've had a bad experience.

As for Will Hill. I don't deal via affiliates utd so can't comment there. The person I deal with is really dead on.

VC - I can't recommend enough. They care about your opinion, are flexible, have competitive commissions and a great brand name behind them.

Full Tilt Poker doesn't provide the rake back - whom is the Rake Back provider? The affiliate?

FutureInsights,

FullTilt transfer you the revnue share and then you can keep it or to transfer capped rakeback - 27% to your players.

Actually, Full Tilt Poker pays the rakeback on behalf of big rakeback affiliates weekly.

Worst:Purple Lounge,

Best:No comments equal.
04-22-2010 , 12:58 PM
wow.

Surprised to hear that Purple Lounge is named for bad reasons.

Do you mean regarding the site in general or just particular affiliate manager?
04-22-2010 , 01:08 PM
I can't seem to understand that you say that Purple lounge is the worse?

Did you have a really bad experience or?

Cause i have nothing but good words to say about them

So please enlighten us.

Well, too me these is a bogus thread, cause it all depends on who you are and some one time experiences.

Really, I have nothing but good things to say about Heypoker and Purple Lounge. Both sites are really helpful, replying fast and know what they are talking about.

Yeah, if people are going to throw mud at others, please state some reasons...

I believe, that PokerNordica, Purple Lounge, Heypoker, Mermaid, Fortune, Classic - has a good affiliate support, but the reason being that I have a relationship to these people.

OK, as an example...

I would give huge praise to Callie at Purple Lounge.

She always answers emails promptly and efficiently, usually with 30 mins during normal office hours.

Any player problems have been dealt with as fast as I would expect and she is also available on MSN every day too.

If all affiliate managers operated this way, my job would be a lot easier.

I would praise Purple Lounge as a whole, as I am extremely pleased with the site, but I wanted to single out particularly good service from this individual.

On a negative side.

I recently joined RPM as an affiliate and have sent an email 3 times in the last 10 days to the affiliate support section.

The 3rd effort got a response, but only in as much that it was being passed to somebody else and THAT was only after I PM'd RPMSeth on their sponsored thread.

I'd also like to comment on Mansion Poker but i'll have to wait until one of the FIVE emails i've sent in the last 6 MONTHS ever even get a response!!!

Hey there,

I've personally received your e-mail and am responding to you today. We had a small issue with our affiliate e-mails which have since been fixed. I apologize for the inconvenience there, it won't happen again!

I can confirm, email received and it is an extremely helpful one too, rather than the stock one sent out to new affiliates.

Hopefully this will lead to good things.

Thanks again

I have one more addition: POTRAISER.

I got in touch with them the other day, hearing what they could offer my site etc. and their service was really incredible. Quick answers, nice deals, and those who have signed up on potraiser and had some problems they solved immidetly. So thumbs up from here
