In recent pictures it looks like noel has put on size but still i just dont see him being big enough to play center with that small ass frame in some lineups without roiding(which i guess is allowed in the nba).

I mean i guess he can do it but has to work pretty hard in the gym & diet.
He dropped a bunch of weight because of the knee injury. He weighed 216 in 2012 at the Nike Hoops Summit. He's listed at 228 right now by the 76ers.

Joakim Noah entered the league at 223 and that was after three years at Florida. Larry Sanders came in at 222 after three years at VCU.

Anyway, you obviously don't need to be all that big to play center in the modern NBA and Noel isn't as small as you are making him out to be.

What do you make of Parker averaging 5 assists as a junior? Huge anomaly because he LDO can't pass and never will?

Dude frame wont ever put on much muscle, you dont get to be 19-20 year old in the american high school system where you probably have been hitting the gym for years & expect for them to put on 40-50lbs since going pro unless they are roiding.

205lbs bro, 205 freaking pounds at 6'10, that is so small its not even funny.
I seriously doubt guys like Noel have put much time in the weight room in HS.

I was lifting one day and a bunch of NBDL big men were there with some coaches and trainers.

They were doing ******ed exercises at pointless weight/rep schemes. They were squatting in basketball shoes and, by the looks on their faces, it was supposed to be heavy day. These guys were all underweight but still spent more time on a balance board than they did moving any appreciable weight.

LOL at thinking anything is better on most college and any high school levels.

Philly obviously thinks they have a massive edge in training and nutrtion. It's very possible. There's not a lot of efficiency in the training market outside of roids.

I think he can pass. I believe its in his nature not to in big moments

I heard that his high school has a reputation for unselfish play so he prob bought into the system esp vs bad teams during blowouts. For duke he was a notably more willing passer in blowouts and only became selfish when it mattered

I dont think his blinders are nearly as bad as randles. Randle simply cant alter his decision to attack vs pass once he puts the ball on the floor. Jabari just thinks its his duty to get every big bucket. The latter seems more fixable but it still makes me nervous to bet on somebody changing their nature w such a valuable pick

How possible is it to be successful if you never change that nature (i.e. Kobe Bryant)? Obviously you'd prefer a team/winning-oriented player to a self-styled hero.

I think defenses have gotten to sophisticated for heroball to ever be optimal anymore (except for the random reg. season game for a guy like Kobe or Melo or even Smiff or Crawford). LOL Brooks but this postseason the Thunder were a good example.

I think improved offenses help too. While the whistle was a weapon for guys like prime Wade, it's a lot harder for the refs to give superstar treatment when the Spurs run six actions and make seven passes that ends in an open look every possession at the other end.

This is a good thing and I think the league might finally be on board with teamball.

This is a really good question, so I made a blog post about it

In the spirit of the 2015 bump, where did we go wrong?

Obviously for me it was being so high on Hezonja, but at least I wasn't alone.

Also I was wrong about Zach sucking as I thought he'd be terrible.

He does playoff coverage for one of the two main sports networks here in Canada. He is one of the best and most well spoken analysts I have seen on any network.

I'd say his floor is maybe a little worse defending Tony Allen with much more offensive game.
It's like he's become the opposite of everything I said.
