Who Will Be the 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee? Who Will Be the 2012 Republican Presidential Nominee?

11-12-2011 , 04:23 PM
I don't know republicans are getting all fired up through this process. They have to know know ultimately their candidate is going to be the milque-toast uninspiring John Kerry Mitt Romney.

I had at least half a hope that Romney would be a little more moderate and reasonable with regard to foreign policy than what has become the norm. Wishful thinking. Last night's debate confirmed he's as ready as anyone to fear/war-monger.

He'll change tune as soon as he gets the nom. He'd probably be the exact same president as Obama has been since 2010.

wasn't there a debate tonight?

Our national poll, out this afternoon, finds Newt Gingrich taking the lead in the GOP race.

It's time for Newt to brace himself for an absolute hurricane. The treatment Herman Cain has gotten is about to look like a hot stone massage...

It's hard being the best non-Romney.

Newt has been through the ringer before. And I think he enjoys it.

He can certainly handle it as well as anyone, but a candidate doesn't truly want it to happen. There are attacks that will stick to Newt and will hurt his chances.

No, I mean that he literally will enjoy it, even if it hurts his chances. He definitely seems like he'd fit into the sadomasochistic crowd.

What's happenin with Ron Paul, 5% IS WEAK.
11-14-2011 , 02:13 PM
srsly that's v disappointing. CNN poll has him at 8%, also disappointing.
11-14-2011 , 02:20 PM
What we didn't see coming is that Newt apparently got his boost in support not from Cain, but from Romney+Field. Romney in 3rd is pretty srsbiz.

Anyone else find it interesting that right after his gaffe the other night, Rick Perry was all over the Fox News morning shows making excuses for himself, with the shows' hosts backing him up every chance they got, then two days later announces a $1 million ad buy for the same channel? Like can we honestly say that's anything other than just outright bribery of a media outlet, or what?

Here's a clip of them helping his damage control on Nov 10:

Lolpublicans.

In the three most recent national polls, Gingrich narrowly leads Romney with Cain firmly in third. Everyone else is in single digits.

Gingrich 23%
Romney 21.7%
Cain 18.7%
Perry 8.7%
Paul 7.7%
Bachmann 5.3%
Huntsman 2.3%
Santorum 1.7%

Perry and Paul are falling. Best stretch for Bachmann since Cain started his surge in September, so probably a few Cain supporters came back to her. First time Huntsman has polled higher than 2% in back-to-back polls, so a mini surge for him.

I'm sure Roger Ailes takes it as an insult that you think his network can be bought for just $1 million. Just as Rick Perry was offended that anyone would think he could be bribed for only $5k.

Cain girl on the left with the gap in her teef is crazy hot
11-14-2011 , 03:44 PM
Wow looks very good for Newt. Imo he is the most likely to take Santorum/Bachmann votes once they drop out while Romney has only this 2% in the bank from Huntsman.

Republicans just don't like his foreign policy. It's a damn shame, but that disqualifies him.
11-14-2011 , 04:16 PM
i don't think that's what it is, it's mostly the blatant media bias makes it so he rarely gets a chance to explain himself at the debates.

lol, c'mon man

It's a mixture of things, but he's not in line with most of the party.

However, Paul in the body of a polished, middle-aged & attractive politician would be polling at 16%.
