Are poker bots common? Are poker bots common?

Hi,

I haven't been playing much cashgames the last few years, but yesterday i figured i'd 'test the waters' at zoom nl100 for a couple of hours.
Reason I'm curious about bots is this:

1) I'm not up to date at all on the current status in the cash game world with all the tools now being available, so i just get paranoid easily i guess.
2) On two occations yesterday two different players at my table accused two other players of being a bot, one writing "f****g bot" in the chat before folding, the other guy writing "faking bot" before calling and losing.
3) I went to bed around midnight (ET) last night, and this morning (9hrs later) there's a handful of the same players in the pool that were playing last night still grinding the tables. European players that must have been up the whole night. I know lots of people play for hours and hours, so am I just seeing ghosts here?

Basically I just want to know if I'm at risk of playing vs a bot in the future.

Sorry if this is being discussed elsewhere or posted in the wrong forum, feel free to move it/delete it.

"Common" is subjective.

Poker bots exist.

The way I look at it is, bots are out there, but are they better than me? If they are, I just consider it an addition to the rake in a sense. If bots do exist they are less than 1% of the player pool.

I'm thinking about writing a bot to play Bovada micro stakes. Just been too busy to do it.

Lets include playing assistant software under bots (I.e software that will tell a player what decision to make). Then I would say that yes bots definitely exist, they are almost certainly more of them than most people guess/realise and just due to the nature of it the sites will always be 1 step behind and playing catch up.

ipoker has inside bots so there's never an overlay in their tournaments. Is on their terms and conditions. Disgusting imo. Whatever u do never play at ipoker.

This bots don't only never get tired and never tilt, they collude real good. They have colluding botfarms that play at the speed poker pool.

I was a victim of collusion twice (that i know of) there

Poker bots DO exist and they r getting better and better as we speak.
Have also heard here at 2+2 that 888 has bots too.
As fas as i know pokerstars is the only site that has bot countermeasures like every once in a while they ask u to write a captcha. But i am pretty sure there's gotta be bots at stars too.
