call ? Readless, you are lighting money on fire by x/calling flop and then folding once you turn top pair, top kicker.

Well can't fold now son that you turned your card or else why you calling the flop. I think you win here at least 50% of the time. So gotta call. Also helps that the heart fd missed.

why do you 3bet and check such a dry flop? You are losing the initiative in the hand and trying to play your hand out of position. If you lead flop you can get more information by turn and river. Turn is great for us as we now beat 88-JJ. Villain could flat pre with QQ-AA but likely will 4bet? He could have 55, could play 78suited in position but ya after turning the Q and putting yourself in an awkward situation by not cbetting i think its a call. Villain probably puts you on AJ/AK or something after flop check? i mean i really don't know, 3bet and check such a dry board?

a Q is his dream barreling card isnt it?

With the line you took i think you should have at least raised the turn to get some info.

Nope, a Q is pretty much a blank for both our ranges.. it helps us a little more than him. Good barrel cards for him are 4, 6, 8, 9, as it completes straights.

He shouldn't stab with a Q on the flop.
