I suspected too, that N6 and N7 were bots. They had very identical stats. Don't sure about Russians, they had different styles IMHO, especially N4. I didn't check DB yet, but I sure that I played many hands vs all that players, expect N5.

But what can I write in letter to PS as reason for refund? You wrote that only players N6 and N7 PROBABLY banned for botting and PS never declare, that they are bots.

But maybe you are a Poker-Super-Savant and you can do it. Or you are a bot yourself and also able to post here in this forum. Who knows...

30 seconds and those ridiculous odds?! lol come on you should have said 3 seconds or something to stand a chance of me losing to bot. Most of questions I can't answer without revealing cognitive techniques I employ and prefer to keep to myself. I do admit a bot won't start watching porn though 5 hours into an mtt session and then start spewing just as you just want to empty your damn balls so you can move onto thinking about this or that again. I agree bots are concerning in some games but they are games that I refuse to play as they don't take any kind of 'poker skill' and they are just pure mathematical nash equilbrium type games, the games where the robot wins.

I suppose a bot could come in and eat up all the spew fish, meaning that the seat scripting nooobs and bum hunters will not have so much longevity.

Was you wanting me to list all the advantages a human has over a bot ?

No need to list the advantages. I think it`s worthless to discuss it. You say you make better decisions than a computer and i dont believe in that. Especially when we talk about multitabling 8 hours a day.

And by the way: Just got mail from Stars:

Hello,

PokerStars has become aware of a situation involving a violation of our Terms of Service, to the potential detriment of other players. You participated in games that were under consideration in this case and as a result you may have been adversely affected.

In a case such as this it is our policy to confiscate the balances of the offender(s) and for PokerStars to add funds where appropriate. This compensation pool is then distributed to players potentially affected in as fair a way as possible.

To confirm your credit, please log onto your PokerStars account, go to the 'Cashier' screen and click the 'History' button. Your share will be shown as "REFUND", followed by the amount of the credit.

The integrity of the games at PokerStars is of paramount importance and appropriate action will always be taken when players operate outside the Terms of Service. PokerStars works hard to police the games in order to pro-actively prevent such instances. However, in cases where it is discovered that rules breaches have occurred, the aim is to ensure that any players affected are compensated appropriately.

We regret that we will be unable to answer questions as to how your specific credit amount was calculated. Likewise, we are not at liberty to identify the specific games or player(s) in question. Suffice to say that the offender(s) have been barred from the site and you will not encounter them again.

Thank you for your continued play at PokerStars. Please let us know if we can help you with any further issues or questions.

Regards,

PokerStars Game Integrity Team

pretty scummy of stars to only pay out after players themselves independently figured out those players were bots

good work oink and grethe!

I tried to contact stars and ask for more information. Didn`t get answer yet. I want to know for what case and this payment is and which players have been banned. I also believe that it is about this case, but i am really interested to get some more infos from stars...

refund amounts seem pretty small, does stars just confiscate the player funds and divide that for the refunds. Considering how brutal the rake is at plo starts probably made the most out of the situation. Would be nice if they included the rake taken and included that back with the payments. Looking at the previous spread sheet you had these guys at +170k hands. Assuming around 10bb/100 rake at 100plo that would be 17k in rake that stars collected from these bots/colluders.

$17

Was probably down a bit over $1k to them altogether, so it's obv not just a straight calculation of returned winnings.

I feel it's probably as mentioned above dividing the player funds by amount of hands played with them.

Thanks Oink, Grethe and Stars.

Funny thought....

What if a scammer/bot played 100k hands at .01/.02, then went on a crazy run over 10k hands and won a few million...

Would a bunch of penny stakes guys wake up with thousands of dollars in their accounts?

I'm guessing it's more complex than this (possibly split by stakes?), would be interested to know the actual system if any Stars reps are checking out this thread.

Why is everyone assuming the refund and this case is correlated?

Roy and I both got refunds. We didnt play these stakes/these guys.

I pretty much played exclusively zoom 1/2 and 2/5 this year. These guys never played zoom.
