Limping with Pocket A's? Limping with Pocket A's?

Sure it is a profitable move. Any move with AA is profitable.

Raising is more profitable than limping though.

you will not always be raised. Not being raised is a disaster and complete waste of your AA as now have a tiny pot, probably on a multiway flop. In those cases you may win a tiny pot, or lose your stack. When it gets allin postflop, you are almost always beat.

your limp reraise is very transparent and many hands will fold for it that would actually have 3bet you if you had bet in the first place.

I think limping with 22-88 is fine in live game from ep however because you hand if you hit it will still be relatively disguised its fine, most people know l/rr is very strong
I see, that makes good sense

perfectly fine to do so if you find the right situations. in my regular game, if there's the right people behind me and the right stack sizes, i'll open limp suited connectors/aces or small pairs because said opponents are extremely unlikely to raise the limp, and will limp behind with a lot of stuff that doesn't play as well postflop. gives me closer to the direct odds i need while keeping the implied odds high

It's tough not to make a profit with AA.
If you had raised instead of open limping, you'd probably make twice as much profit.

Every reg knows the limp/r move is nutted. It probably only works on maniacs, but maniacs can very well 3b you wide. I'd rather get 3b than 2b when I hold AA pre.
