Hey guys, Just to warn you I received an email today from help*r@horaton.com Seemed weird that it went straight in to my inbox rather than the spam folder... a little more searching and I found some guys talking about receiving something from the same email that i did. Anyway they did some checks and found it's a guy from the Isle of man and that the thing that seems to link all the people that have received this email is that they all play on Pokerstars.
Just a friendly warning, no idea how malicious (if at all) the email is but i can't imagine unsolicited emails like this sent to pstars players is going to result in anything good.

I reported the email to stars after determining that it was from their servers. "Technical support" assures me I'm wrong. I assured them that as a sysadmin with 15 years experience, I know damn well how to spot fake email headers, and these aren't fake. The email is from within Stars. I found an email for what I think is their systems team, I emailed back "support" and the systems team.
I'm kinda steaming that some stars employee seems to have decided to spam us, and that "support" is blinding themselves to it.
There was a further link to the original forum where they found this and were discussing it, but as it's an external forum (AKA not 2p2), I'm not sure if I'm allowed to link and would rather err on the side of caution so that the thread stays up.
I'd suggest changing this thread's title or the other one (http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/96.../#post36196658) to include something like "the age of pisces ends.." so that people who have no clue the email was related to stars can find the thread. People are more likely to recognize this concerns them if they see the start of the email in the thread title instead of "scam email from pokerstars", which they may not realize is what they received. OP, can you pm a mod or something for that?
December 21st is the final day of our age – The Age of Pisces, on this date you should celebrate and show thanks for the life you’ve been given.
On December 22nd the Sun will not rise. A Cosmic/Electrical Storm will engulf the Earth. No Electrical or metallic objects will work. The Darkness and the Storm will last for three days, the 22nd, 23rd and 24th of December.
Stars, will there be Double VPP days to make up for the three days we're going to lose to the Darkness?

Obvioiusly not, you can see clearly that as compensation they're giving free Sunday Storm tickets to everyone, that's why they expect the tournament to last three days.
it's too early in the morning for my brain to understand this. Was this the email being send by the stars employee?

so a member of pokerstars support is abusing his position by emailing pokerstars clients to pedal his doomsday agenda, because it wont go into spam folder as its from stars?

I don't think he's using stars "because it wont go into spam". More like he's abusing his position as a Stars employee by collecting email addresses from some Stars database and using that and the Stars network resources to spam his personal site.
