Keep making more changes ... you guys really know how to kill the action on SNG's. first it was can't register more than 1 game of same type at same time and now you **** everyone on rake back. I played for 5 hours and I think i got 6 regular speed $15 6/9 SNG's to fill. Well done pokerstars.

the fun with chests is already wearing off..
i thought it was a good change that promoted more play but the prizes are just too damn low, if im playing 2 hours and pay $100 rake but i get 100 starscoins each time i rather have the old promos back

hadnt played here for a while and seems ur software is sluggish and lags sometimes in game or wen trying open stuff like cashier , play on mac and had a few random crashes and if i let the mtt lobby auto scroll down it crashes too

Musical Chairs is getting significantly worse - is stars ever going to address the issue? cant even get 4 tables to stay open ...constantly closing from players jumping in and out fr-cash... hour in and im already at 20 tables of a orbit or less... it is not fun or enjoyable to have to constantly be jumping from table to table to find one that lasts

After today's update, the rake is no longer shown at the top of the lobby of the tourney (only the total BI and the prize pool are shown at the top), however, the rake is still written at the bottom of the 'Tournament Information' box as the 'retained' amount in the 'Buy-In' paragraph which reads like this,

'$0.92 is added to the prize pool; $0.08 is retained by PokerStars.' or
'$0.44 is added to the prize pool; $0.44 is added to the bounty pool; $0.12 is retained by PokerStars.'

So check the 'Tournament Information' from time to time to be mindful of future rake changes.

Just here to also say changing x4 spin & gos to regular table color really seems like a bad change.

I have activated the Responsible Gaming mechanism to "Restrict Casino & Vegas Limit". This includes, according to the PokerStars software, blocking my "ability to play casino games completely." After activating that setting, I logged out of the software, and restarted it.

However, despite having this option active, I still receive promotional messages in the form of challenges to encourage me to play casino games. This includes so-called 'Lucky Draw Challenges' encouraging me to play:
-slots;
-blackjack;
-live dealer; and
-roulette.

This seems inconsistent with my decision to activate the Responsible Gaming mechanism to block my "ability to play casino games completely."

Can you please improve the software to better reflect the responsible gaming settings that I've activated? If I've blocked myself from casino games, I shouldn't be getting marketing messages in the form of challenges to play the things.

I could understand if the settings were checked when logging in, but these marketing messages are still visible to me despite restarting the software.

I have PokerStars 7 Client Version 18896, on .COM license, and the server time is listed as 4 August, 2017, 20:46 WET.


P.S. Another suggestion: It would be good if a user could select the text in the 'About PokerStars' box so that I could copy and paste it more easily.

P.P.P.S. The reference to the Chromium Embedded Framework (CEF) in the 'About PokerStars' box is dated as of 2013. That software has literally thousands of updates in the last four years (most recently 3 days ago), including a whole bunch of security and bug fixes, have you updated CEF since then? That might be something worth considering.

If you change your communication preferences to "no" for casino it blocks most of the news items (although I think if you self-exclude the option for casino disappears) - challenges/deposit bonuses are always there. I was told years ago that these were displaying incorrectly and it'd be fixed but it never has been.

My communication preferences were already set to "no" for Casino & Vegas (and sports too).


Just for the sake of completeness, I've also subsequently turned off 'Show Casino & Vegas Games' in the 'Lobby - Lobby Display' settings box as well, and the Casino challenges are still being marketed to me.

This is supposed to be the case for challenges (there's a specific flag built so that if you have restricted yourself from casino and/or casino messages, casino challenges should not show) - I'll look into whether these challenges were just set up incorrectly without that flag or there's a problem.

Yes - the new buy-in display has been introduced today in .com build 18896 (in your example, it displays the buy-in as simply '$27'), which is not forced and not critical - besides this display change, the only other visible change is the background colour changes in Spin & Gos; the other changes are invisible in the client, such as the addition of sound files for the future Power Up (\snd\snd57.wav etc.) and graphic files for a future Usain Bolt Zoom promotion (\casual\bolt-zoom\).

Isn't that way of showing the buyin breaking some gambling or whatever license rules now? Shady move gotta say. Oh well ain't updating my client any tim soon. Thx for the warning coon74.

I don't think the new way is illegal - formally, the rake is written somewhere in the lobby, though it's hidden better now

Hey Keith, earlier this year you talked about some major changes in the graphics that PokerStars was working on, and that would be coming some time in the future, but you didn't know when. Do you have any news/info on that?

After playing a number of tournaments tonight I attempted to close the PokerStars client. Upon exiting I received a dialog stating that I was registered in two tournaments, and if I exit the client I will be sat out and fold every hand. The "Registered in Tournaments" window did not show me as being registered in any tournaments (except a freeroll which I knew about), and when I manually searched for the two tournament Ids using the "Find a Tournament" feature, no results were found.

My client version is build #18428.

I emailed log files to support, and asked that they be forwarded to you. A screenshot is in my email to support.

It used to be possible to stay and look at a Zoom-hand just by pressing Ctrl+Fold. This doesn´t seem to work now. Is this one of the new "improvements"?

Bring the rake labels back ffs. I rake alot of $ a year on ur site ! With the saturday sko now different rake i like to know where i am losing value. I am a true customer

software was fine for a a good time, but then you see that cardmatch has returned and immediately it freezes and gets glitchy. focus switches all the time so i use hotkeys for the wrong tables (a table which requires no action just pops up because of some card was matched).
its literally the worst promo you ever had, why is it brought back again? every other promo is at least twice as good and doesnt cause so much errors

i had to quit my session early because it just didnt work, this combined with the chests with 3% rakeback has made my decision quite easy: im not loyal to stars anymore, i will find my luck elsewhere
