I can't speak for payouts, I play low-level, win, enter higher stakes, eventually lose some, go back to low-level, rinse, and repeat (I know the math, am patient, and have been able to keep myself going on 6 (4 now, since the US closings) sites for years with only requiring a 2nd deposit once. I can, however, speak to
their software, the fish conspiracy, and the idiot threatening to reveal our personal info, if we disagree with him (
).
I'm a certified tech with a ACS BA & 25+ yrs exp. in programming and corporate repairs (I walk into Pepsi Cola, Gov.agencies, etc etc, to fix what their techs can't). The software is pretty bad, not only in features, but in stability, as well. The note-taking with no partial quick view, inability to recall seat, lack of quick tags, settings having a mind of their own, unstable connections, no time bank preserve, unstable info box, sitting u out at random, hiding your own cards, freeze ups, lags, and a whole slew of various glitches. These all vary in severity, depending on your OS, background apps/services, & if you're smart enough to keep your AV on. They have live chat & email support, which would be nice, except they're completely dishonest; will tell you these probs are unheard of & send you off searching for client-side probs that don't exist. The probs stem from severe memory leaks, due to poor programming, that cause conflicts with other active processes.
The one thing they do right, which all other sites foolishly backed up from, after the US shutdowns, is that they feed their fish (decent freerolls for cash, not satellites to more freerolls, and low-level tourneys with generous structures). The longer it takes for the blinds to get large, the more skill factors into winning, not luck. Anyone that knows how to play, wants to be feeding on fishies, not battling sharks. The donk complaints come from players who push all-in with AQ & then get angry, cause they think a nice preflop "draw" should be a guarantee; Plus players who don't understand pot odds and think 32% postflop draws are the mortal nuts.
As for the idiot threatening to reveal your personal info, well... we call them hacker-wannabes in my trade. I'd be shocked if that moron could find the PC power button twice in a row, let alone hack anything.
The Merge Gaming Network (Players Only, PDC, RPM, Lock, & Carbon Poker) has among the most stable and clever software, I've seen. Unfortunately, their structures are very stingy, and there aren't many ops to find a good low-level tourney that isn't a "slot machine race". They do offer cash freerolls, but don't entice the fishies to stay beyond that. Bodog's software is good (not as good), has really nice structures, but very few low-level freeze outs. If you're like me & play to enjoy game & aren't trying to be the next boob on TV, these are the good choices, but you can't play whenever you want.
