Go on tripadvisor and look at the last two months. Granted, people tend to be more likely to post reviews if they're unhappy, and the number who like it could well outnumber those who don't by a significant margin.
That being said, folks said they had HVAC issues, or charging stations that didn't work. Some found the rooms very dinky and spartan, and the beds not very comfortable. Plus there were complaints about the walls being paper thin - more so that the old towers. They also were displeased with the lack of food and room service options and needing to check in at the old location.
It honestly sounded to me like a situation where Mohegan pushed to have the rooms ready for the holidays and NYE when maybe they could've used a bit more finishing touches and attention to punch lists. Maybe they'll use the somewhat slower month of January to work kinks out? Or it could just be a WYSIWYG situation.
