Should mention these are two of the better players in the community

Watched the games between my buddies Frank and Edd for Red Alert 2 and co-commentated a couple of the games. Frank ended up taking it down for the win with a score of 10-4 I believe it was. A couple very awesome games!!! Tons of fun.

Got in a couple hours of grinding today and fell very heavily on positive variance run outs, likely running a bit over $800 above EV for the session and managing to take down about a $300 win for the day. May end up playing a bit more in the evening, but we shall see.

GL @ tables all.

You're also playing significantly higher stakes than you used to not that long ago so it should be tougher overall and I'm guessing since you started your job you're also grinding a lot less so it coulda just been 1 of those meh sessions. I haven't noticed a change in quality, lol if anything villains are playing even worse lately imo. There's new skills to learn as well at each stake including exploiting reggish types. Yeah I guess, but yesterday was just awful imho. What stakes do you play?

Thanks for the good wishes, gl at the tables yourself.

Thanks man. Online I play 100 zone, 200 nl 6max, 100&200 plo and sprinkle in some mtt's occasionally. 2/5 and 5/10 nl live and once in awhile plo even tho I hate playing the game full ring but its sooooooo soft live.

Yea man, tables getting tougher. I got really lucky tonight with some soft tables but best I can hope for these days is 2 fish and 4 regs.

Pretty sure I speak for everyone who can't access Bovada when I say "Awwwwww... diddums".
12-20-2015 , 02:22 PM
Man I dunno when I move down and sit 400nl recently all I see are super whales (playing 60/13) and nits that are easily run over and never put you to a tough decision.
12-20-2015 , 02:23 PM
Small sample sizes probably.
12-20-2015 , 02:46 PM
Yeah generally pretty soft but the other day was just awful, lol the regs were pretty good. My 400nl table broke for a bit and was playing HU with one of the better regs at the table for about 20 hands before it started filling up again and he seemed pretty solid :X

@Joe, the lack of reads makes it kind of hard to play against any regs profitably so keep that in mind. But, yeah, obviously softer than stars, but also table cap and no rakeback and essentially no promotions. There are pros/cons. If it was just as hard as stars then it would be wayyyyyyyy worse than stars

Of course. FWIW I'm not playing Stars any more.

My guess is he's a Bovada player who isn't very good at poker and who has little to no real-world skills, so he's terrified his gravy train is going to come to an end.
12-21-2015 , 12:15 PM
Yet he's yelling at some PG&C's where very few people and people who are relatively knowledgeable about poker and poker sites, come to. If he wants to really stop spreading the word of Bovada, he probably should be yelling at the youtubers, and the twitch streamers where there is a bigger audience, and less knowledgeable players.
12-21-2015 , 01:46 PM
Yelling anywhere isn't going to do any good. Dumb regs can't stop posting in public about how soft games are and sharing strats. Games are just going to keep getting tougher and tougher, its inevitable.

+1
as far as those saying theres less fish at the tables, well games might be a little bit tighter because college kids are obv on winter break and might be putting some more time in at the tables than they normally can/do and probaly value their money and wont let it go super easy as theyre not making any serious money in the real world yet.

the games are still very beatable. willing to bet that "old coot" with his recently made account is nothing but a F'N NIT who isnt skilled enough to exploit anyone halfway decent and probaly doesnt have much game overall on the felt

How much are you willing to bet on this?

HU 4 ROLLZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Played a bit last night and was like -270 or something. Didn't play at all today, just did a coaching session.

Binge-watched four leaked episodes of The Expanse last night and I'm hooked!

All the trolls are welcome in my thread. Free entertainment as long as it's not too excessive.
