Kinda hate these spots...
Would have wanted to see something other than KK
Need 33% equity, not so easy to get that.
Was going to 3-bet the MP fish opener, but clicked the call instead.

Found some good games on iPoker, but I'm still losing there, need to re-deposit again.

This hand got me really thinking about ranges.
I was wondering if I should xc or bet. So let's look at some range vs range possibilities.
I made a video review on it, but I think I prefer to keep it private.

h1: xc is better, villain doesn't have much to call with apart from hero calls, but he can bluff with missed draws.

Pre Flop: (pot: 1.5 BB) Hero has K A

fold, fold, BTN raises to 2.5 BB, Hero raises to 8.5 BB, fold, BTN calls 6 BB

Flop: (18 BB, 2 players) 8 K Q
Hero bets 12 BB, BTN calls 12 BB

Turn: (42 BB, 2 players) 4
Hero bets 25 BB, BTN calls 25 BB

River: (92 BB, 2 players) 3
Hero bets 147.34 BB and is all-in, fold

Then I modified the hand history to create different scenarios.
We can xc this one too, only problem is if we run into AK, but at worst case only need 4 bluff combos, can get that.

Hero ????,

I didn't make a SB 3-bet bluffing range, but this hand is not the best for checking back, in case villain did 2-barrel bluff gut-shot with AT AJ, but that might be unlikely, so maybe xb is reasonable. I think he xf's AQ, so there are hands he can fold.

Ugh...
I have been gambling way too much the past couple of days. I started to lose money on both days so I hit 200nl tables. Made some dumb plays which made me hit the rock bottom mentally.
Running below EV is okay for me, my monthly EV line is now breakeven.
I have been acting like a drama queen the past couple of days, the upswing got me into me and followed by that I got easily annoyed by any loss.
I need to realize that you can't always win, JUST BE PATIENT!!!
If you ever wonder how there is some 15/10 nit playing 200nl, it's because HE IS PATIENT!!!! And does nothing stupid!
If there is any benefit from playing 200nl, I feel more neutral towards money now at 100nl. 50nl starts to feel like too little amount of money.

Don't know what to do now. I would like to keep playing and participate in the rake race. I have one physics report to finish, won't take too long. Also CCNA chapter I have to read. Other than that I am free to play. Just really need to have a mindset check before I play. And be patient. I was patient today and FINALLY got a fish to bluff me. That's better than bluff catching donk shove on 4-straight board, that's what I've been doing lately...

A LOT of spots where I xf river vs regs with hands like TPTK and 2p. Think they were all good spots where I showed discipline.
If I grind tomorrow, I want to make sure I have a similar good mindset.
Table selecting multiple sites was fun. As there were a lot of fish on the tables, the action was so slow that I could play 10 tables on 2 separate screens.
It felt refreshing to play on iPoker. I think the action there is good if you manage to find good tables. But don't expect them to come easily, it's constant spamming of waiting lists, joining and leaving tables.

Played nearly 6 hours today.
Had too many tables going at one point, around 10-12. It was just click-click-click-click, if I stopped thinking for a while I would time out. I guess I'm blessed to be able to play that many tables and be profitable.
Also had a sweat session today, we exchanged some interesting thoughts. That gave me motivation to work on my game. Played a lot of interesting hands throughout the day, might post some tomorrow.

Still have to put in some hours if I want to get better reward from the rake race. But might be committed to school work, starting to leave behind there, too much poker But in February I won't be playing so much.

Regs have started to give me HU action when I start the tables. Found this good video from PokerVIP, but unfortunately it's for members only. It's not that entertaining HU video, but it shows how to play small ball in HU. Those un-interesting small-to-medium pots: https://www.pokervip.com/en/coaching...l-hu-live-play

Should not have posted that graph yet. Played another small session.
That included HU vs a whale, it's tough to beat those guys. I definitely enjoy HU, but finding action can be tough.
So some hands from this small session:

Rest were smaller pots, missed draws or something. Lost nearly every showdown vs the whale HU. Kinda annoying, but you need to have iron nerves in HU.
Just need those big pots where our edge is. We can lose many smaller pots, but gain that edge again in big pots and when we flop well.

As promised here are some hands from last nights sweat session:

h1: reggish player (anon tables) check calls the flop with CO fish in the pot.
We agreed that he doesn't have Qx here. He opened MP so he has QTs at best. I think with fish in the pot he would just bet that. His xc range would then more likely be 88-JJ.
We could barrel turn, that's probably my standard line.
On the river I try out an overbet. He could have 45s or 55 for the nuts. Otherwise he likely has just hero calls with Qx or those PP's. Interesting that he called.
In terms of my range, I can have 45s and 55. If I wanted to bluff I would probably just go smaller. Unless his range would be really capped I guess.

h5: My sweat partner told me to raise this spot, with a plan to raise/fold to a shove. He thought that this line is very typical for draws.
Like A7, 76 78 T7s 77 or even a FD.
For value he has: A8 A6 89s A9 99, assuming 86s would raise flop. Same would go for 88 and 66.
On the river, I thought that he wouldn't bet two pair/set anymore. So it's straight or air. He is definitely an aggressive villain who can bluff here, so I called.

Played a small session with pretty bad mindset. Felt grumpy.
Sometimes I get fed up with spots like these. You would want to think that people bluff, but it seems like they never do so in big pots.
So you just play like a huge nit vs most of the population. That's annoying, but feels right.
I easily lose my confidence when my river calls go wrong. Start to think like "doh, obvious that he is not bluffing". I need to figure out which are the easy spots people bluff at, and where it's too likely they are betting for value.

h2: vs reg. Maybe too optimistic flop call. We're OOP and his draws can have 50% equity, so probably a fold right away on the flop.
River donk might be fine here. He shouldn't take the flop line with 5x or 6x. I don't know if he is going for thin value bet with overpairs once I check twice, I could xc small flush here.

Not meaning to be rude, but looking back at the last page and at this page, you seem to be losing a lot of money calling big bets with your bluffcatchers, when people just aren't bluffing enough. They always seem to "have it", as you put it.

Do you think that if you cut out all these calls with your bluffcatchers, it'd be easy to crush these limits? Or do you think players would start re-adjusting and bluff you more?

Some of those spots are "experimental". If I haven't seen a line before and it's a close spot, I call there to find out. Like that KK hand where I xc river.
Some are mistakes, like the AK hand where I xc river overbet with TPTK.
I think discipline plays a big part at these limits. Since people make less mistakes, it's important that you don't make them also.

I would say there are three kinds of players. The nits who don't care. They always have a big hand, check back otherwise. Might make a river bluff on a bad day, but most likely not.
Then there's the ones who are too aggressive, and it won't take long before you catch them bluffing you. It really shouldn't take long to figure out these guys
Then there would be the optimal player, who evaluates every spot and makes the most +EV move. And doesn't make a lot of mistakes.

You just have to figure out who is who. Overall I would say people don't get too creative in big pots, when a lot of money goes in, usually both players have a lot of equity.
So I could definitely improve my winrate by tightening up. Sometimes I just feel very cally or I'm in a mindset where I can't fold.
But tight is right, at least in euro site reg tables.

Like this hand vs nit, he checks back KQ high. I bet he is not going to exploit you if you keep folding against him, given his style. And he is probably not going to exploit you either, most likely has a big hand when he bets.
PF could go either way, he folds so much to 3-bets that it's already profitable to 3-bet.

That might have been the last session of the month.
Depending on how much RB I get, it could be a 4k month.
I have winners tilt atm, I'm afraid that if I play I'm going to call down in stupid spots just because I have money. Going to withdraw part of my roll. Start from ~25-30 BI and grind it up again.

As you can see the games were good and I hit a lot of good hands.

Don't know which spots to work on, but I would like to improve my gameplay vs regs also. If I wanted to gamble, I could start taking shots at 200nl, but I feel like it's way too early. Need to put in a lot more hands at 100nl + the swings would make me crazy at 200nl
Not sure what to do next month. I'll put a lot of focus at school. Might grind out my Pokerstars Ultimate bonus. Could play some 50 HU, who knows.

Here is my 100nl graph up to date. ~60% RB on top of that. So my results are good! But I want to improve.

Started to do some off-table work. My red line is interesting. Not too worried about it, but it could see some improvement.

My biggest and most obvious leak is my Fold to 3-bet %.
Why? Because I may open buttons too much against wrong players.
What steps to take to fix this:
- GTO range vs certain aggressive players. If I don't defend a lot, I want to make sure they make no profit from my BTN opens.
- Start 4-betting more. Now that I have big samples on everyone, I know who are 3-betting K2s, print money when they fold to 4-bets. Also gives less respect to my 4-bets overall.
- Call more 3-bets IP, I have stats + reads so I'm more comfortable post-flop.

First step is to start opening less. Don't open a lot if you can't defend.

Nice work!! Your graph looks very similar to mine (mine is a much smaller sample so far though). I too would like to work on my redline. Everyone always goes nuts when I say that though saying it doesnt matter, but if you know you are donating money by folding too much why not figure a way to work around that?

The graphs look so much better if you get rid of the redline and blueline though. With them they make the green line look almost flat.

Yeah winnings + RB graph is the one that matters.
But I'm going to start working on the red line. Going to start 4-betting more. That is of course going to create some problems. Seen regs with 11% Fold to 4-bet Post-flop in 4-bet pots is where you can really lose money if you don't know what you are doing.
Also reviewed some spots yesterday where I could bluff the river. Found some good filters and I'm very motivated to work on those spots.

For anyone with red line anxiety, check out the graph of this coach:

Thank you mate.

You could call todays session reckless!
I was 3-betting as much as I could, also adding 4-bet bluffs. Didn't help the red line... There were also many aggro fish, so that's one reason.
I hope my 4-bets & 3-bets will get less respect from now on. I might have sessions where I play like a mega nit, so it's good to play aggro style once in a while.

If there was no luck, I would be about breakeven for the day after RB. It's decent result for testing out a new style.
I grinded 8½ hours. Got a lot of rake for the rake race. Originally I had booked the whole day for studying, but plans changed.

Some hands:

h1: vs fish. not too happy about the flop 3-bet, but no worries.
