Started a PGC thread last year in late July:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/17...thing-1460955/

I liked what I got out of it, but lost motivation as the year progressed. I want to stay on top of this thread and update at least weekly.

I had a lot of ups and downs but ended up having a 6 figure year. I had some huge downswings and major tilt issues, but I think I've come up with a solid gameplan moving forward.

Title pretty much says it all. I will be recording my results, observations, and general wellness in here.

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! Really motivating.

POKER

Starting off every day playing lower until I get my confidence back and get my tilt under control, and the month has started off good. I don't have much to report besides that. I'm lifting every day and trying to find a boxing gym down here to join.

I am playing HU on other sites higher stakes, but I've decided to keep those out of the thread for now, as I'm just 1 tabling, want to fly on the radar, and want to make this thread about my 6max results since I always want that to be my main game. But at the end of the month I will report how much I'm either up or down in HU and add or subtract it from my totals.

1/3 - Legs
1/4 - Chest
1/5 - Back
1/6 - Shoulders

Yeah really have to be vigilant with tilt it's a constant struggle, for me at least. I actually think yoga and meditating have been helping but still never fully cured of the tilt. It's like a broken body part may heal and get strongish but always on the back of your mind is the fact it could snap without any notice.

Awesome thread last year. gl op subbed

Are your injuries doing better?

I started Stronglift 5x5 and it seems that my injuries feel a lot better following this no isolation program

My knee is coming along well, thanks. I'm able to run on it now for up to 10-15 minutes, plant, pivot, all that stuff. My hamstrings get tight because I'm sitting for extended periods, so I'm trying to stay mindful of that and stretch every day.

I went through my database yesterday and identified some preflop leaks and some spots where I am getting in trouble. Felt good to go through and filter and identify technical leaks that I can get rid of and improve. This stuff is really important for my confidence. Woke up today and ran bad for half an hour and decided to quit stuck 800 or so. Usually I will try to push through it, and in the past I think that has been a huge leak of mine in that I play semi tilted and I have just had some embarrassingly large losing sessions. I was proud of myself for quitting today less than 500 hands in, because I never do that. Will play more later.

Nice growth, both technical game and grinding process. Good stuff.

Ended up having a good month. Up around 16k all in all. I want to write a more in-depth report but I just wanted to make myself post in here before I go to dinner, to try to get into a habit of doing it. I had some bumps along the way but am really happy with everything. I also have some trips planned for the next couple months so I am really stoked about that as well. All in all have been really busy but very happy with everything.

I have worked out every day and ran on the beach every day almost every day that I have been here, and I am seeing real progress on that front. Not just from an aesthetic or strength standpoint, but my running is for the first time in my life really solid. Historically I've always hated running but I"m to the point where I can run at a very fast clip for over 2 miles on the beach, even doing sprint intervals during it. I feel really good about that and its fun to be in good cardiovascular shape.

I went completely off my anxiety meds for the first time in oh around 11 years lol so that has provided its own sets of ups and downs - but I'm adjusting and actually feel pretty good. My gf since who I have been and off with since before I got sober (3 years+) and I broke up as well. She came and visited here twice and I have just realized I'm not ready to be in a relationship, and can't give her what she wants in that regard. It is pretty tough but I know its for the best for both of us and it doesn't necessarily mean anything. The timing wasn't right is all.

About halfway thru the month I basically had a self-intervention with how I approached poker and am very happy with my overall play. I don't really want to get into it too much but basically I was having the same types of problems I was always having, falling back into the same bad patterns, and now I'm not. I took steps to ease my stress levels while playing and I can say its the most +ev thing I've done since I started playing poker, and should have done it a long time ago.

I have learned so much about poker in this month from coaching and going over stuff with friends. I am definitely playing my best poker to date.

Last batch of hands:

(experimented with playing in some fullring games at the lower stakes)
