Hey Stuntman,

I find if I am fatigued or have been playing for too many hours I am MUCH more prone to tilting after a few bad beats. All it takes is one or two backdoor double gutter floats on my overpair to set me off.

Also when I shot take and this happens it really tilts me. I think I need to stick to a super conservative BRM and try maybe 100 buyins for all cash games.

I did recently go on vacation and played for about 1-2 hours per day. I crushed the games harder than ever before, and didn't even use a HUD. I think the clear-head and lack of stress really allowed me to player poker, not just sit there on auto-pilot clicking buttons all day.

When you start tilting I think you should really take a day or two off and go do something outside. Something like fishing should really clear your mind.

Also, if you are stressed or frustrated outside of your poker life that can definitely make you more agitated and prone to tilt. It's all connected.

Good luck bro!

SO excited for my trip to VEGAS TODAY!!!!!!

Wow, such a great trip. Had so much fun! Need to learn to stay away from blackjack. Poker wise I won a bit over 1k over 14 hours. Not a bad hourly. So not looking forward to going back to the grind tomorrow.

Played a session for about an hour. First session in like 3 weeks. Feels like the tables are a lot tougher now.

Played 2 sessions, first session won a little over 100 dollars. Ran into a cooler with 44 running into 77 on a AK74A board. Second session I got sweated and he introduced me to some betting concepts and mistakes I was making. Anyways had QQ and lost big pots, one was a cooler running into aces. The 2nd one was a smallish pot against a short stack who hit a two outer post flop with 77. Finished a little up on the 2nd session.

Big difference btwn live play in Vegas and online at Bovada?

Online players as a whole are a lot better than your typical live player. Fish is still fish but the online regs are tougher than live regs IMO.

So ran like real dog s***. Ran QQ into Aces again against a LAGtard. Then AA <<< QA and QJ on Q high flop, All in post flop. Played really well just ran into the top of people's ranges when they called. Rigged game is rigged.

Remember to keep up the confidence, very important.

Keep ur head up. Keep getting it in good and it will pan out in ur favor in the long run. You've gotten to where you've gotten bc u are a solid player. Variance is a B w/itch.
02-11-2015 , 11:53 AM
Bro I feel your pain. I run like **** at 100 nlhe also dropped 300 last night. Lost a flips VA a maniac, had villain hit set in 4! Pot and also just getting counterfeited or somehow I get outdrawn, it's been pretty sick how many times u can get it in good or have villain hit their 5 or 6 outer, while u miss draws with 10 outs and lose every flip

Just know I'm in boat with u. As humans we can't understand variance. So I don't even try amymore. Also I know our lack of volume plays a factor bc we get so few hands since we max out 4 tables

Just stay positive, but I know if u r running like me it's hard. It messes with u seeing people stack off with nothing, then u get them to make a huge mistake and somehow they get saved all we can do is keep getting it in good tho

Yeap, downswings happen.
02-11-2015 , 12:49 PM
Are u using a hud of some sort?
02-11-2015 , 01:38 PM
Yea, Holdem Indicator.

Cool. Just wondering. Let me know if you want to sweat each other or go over HH's sometime. I'm grinding .25/.5-1/2 at the moment.

Ughh, coolers, otherwise I'd be up more. Absolutely owned a guy with AsQx on a J943sss board. Probably made villain fold a really good hand as villain was a nitty type player, but was probably trying to outlevel me too haha. Who knows.
