Borgata was packed this weekend with 92 tables + 60 people waitlists during peak times. Apparently they got 5,500 runners for one of their main event. Cash Game was really juicy with all the tourney players, but somehow it didn't go well for me. Within my first orbit, I ran KK into AA vs a short stack for -$330. At the same time, my buddy who was playing 5/10 3 handed busted two buy ins within the first hour. That immediately put me down $800 as I bought some action from him.
Fast forward to Sunday 3pm, I'm now down close to $1.9k on this trip. My bus leaves in 3 hours, and I'm about to have my first losing weekend in 10 months. I'm a bit tilted and am sitting down with my last $600 with barely enough to rebuy. I look down at two offsuit AA and open to $20 UTG. Folds to a tourney pro who flats BTN, Reg in SB calls, and an aggro reg in BB tanks before raising to $120. I think about reraising, but decide that flatting is slightly better given the dynamics. BTN quickly calls, SB tanks before folding. Pot is $380. Flop Td3d2s, squeezer checks, I check, BTN bets $210, BB folds, I tank before c/jam. BTN snap calls remaining ~$250 and shows QQ. Board bricks out. MHIG.
Now I'm sitting with ~$1,300. A few orbits later I open 9c9s to $15 from MP, young woman with dyed hair who covers me minraises to $30. The last two times she minraised, she showed KK. Pretty easy call for me. Flop is 9h7h8d, I check, she bets $40 into $60, I c/r pretty big to $250, she instantly declares all in.I think for 2 seconds before calling. She flips over KhKc, I fade a K for a double. Before I knew it I went from down 1.9k to up $80 for the trip. Talk about variance.
I'd love to stay as the games were amazing but I have work tomorrow
