How to capture Stars hand histories:

On the Stars table click the "previous hand" link on the top left, which brings up the hand history box. Click the hand you want to post, Ctrl+A to select, Ctrl+C to copy. Bring up the converter tab in your browser, Ctrl+A/Ctrl+V on the left hand box to paste the new hh. Click the "Convert" button. Ctrl+A/Ctrl+C on the right hand box to copy the converted hand, Ctrl+V into the quick reply box on here.

We generally post ~200bb+ pots, but if there's an interesting hand/showdown, or if there's not much action feel free to post smaller ones.

Posting hands

Please use the following options for converting hands:

Preferred by most, supports Pokerstars Run-it-twice feature: http://www.railhand.com
Just paste your hand history, convert, copy generated code and paste in this thread.

Converter from Pokeit https://pokeit.co/convert/ with wide variety of supported games, multiple hand conversion, etc.

If you want to post 2-7 TD hands: http://www.feralcowpoker.com.
Set it to "Two Plus Two - textonly" output, and show results and player names.

NL5k and NL10k basically take the biggest hit. From now on basically means you cant play 5k without massive rec (rec needs to be losing ~40bb/100 for table to breakeven and +40bb losers not that common in NL anymore).

Also probably kills the little battles there were on GG because now basically 40k is the first stake where it makes any sense due to rake (used to be 20kish).

On bright side, PLO regs still have it worse. : ---- D

stars HS already had lower rake than GG yet they still prefered GG, maybe/hopefully that will change now

Stars cant compete at hs due to how hard it is to get money into the site.

For something like this, isn’t the HS community small enough to organize an effective strike of sorts so that the games don’t run to make the point clear to GG that the games can’t run at a certain point?

Obv this would involve a collective effort, which is likely the biggest hurdle as the temptation to play available fish would need to be passed up (hopefully) temporarily.

Difficult thing is that the volume at these stakes games would need to be more than cut in half for them to even lose any revenue. Tricky situation, but seems unsustainable longterm without trying to fight back somehow. These sites obv need regs to survive.

Edit: I mean for these HS games to survive. Clearly the sites will make their $ regardless.

I used to know a guy who organized a player strike against a poker site.

He is no longer playing poker.

No. The players basically have 0 leverage because GG has such a massive grip on the recreational player pool for highstakes. In deep PLO games the effective rake can be close to 10bb/100 at highstakea but people will still line up to play because there is no other option.

Sounds ominous AF. lol

Thx for the explanation Rahm. Just seems to me that they’ll kill their own business at a certain point.

So ACR becomes king of HSNL by default?

04-02-2023 , 03:07 PM
Welp, they killed high stakes poker. How greedy can GG be?
04-02-2023 , 07:08 PM
**** GG, Coinpoker team needs to re-work their skin while still working on good social media presence and that should keep the online HS ecosystem somewhat alive

Plz don’t send your henchmen after me GG, this was not my idea. Just making reasonable observations.

So the regs now have to battle it out on acr and pokerstars now?
