When it comes to Scotch, it really seems people are in two very different camps. They are by nature inherently different, almost for different purposes. I personally do not enjoy the overwhelming taste of smoke/peat. Maybe in small doses it's fine, but I've tried drinking them all night and I feel I ate a handful of dirt and stood next to a bonfire all night the next morning.

I just love good blends and appreciate the complexity and skill it takes to achieve an enjoyable one. I understand why people are in the single malt camp, I'm just not one of those people.

I encourage you to give Johnny Walker Blue an honest, open minded try. It is one of the few things in the world I've ever tasted and had such an immediate reaction.
