Since TC mentioned "Black Mirror" (which is an amazing show but beware, as said before it isn't advised to watch it right before you go to bed!) I want to mention another british tv show which I am sure most people know by now, "Peaky Blinders".

I just finished watching the 3rd season on Netflix and it was as great as the previous two, one of the best tv shows I have ever watched. Top quality acting and incredibly well made.

The Crown on Netflix.
Simply brilliant.

Hey Terrence,

I came across your zero-calorie Shirataki noodles the other day at an organic grocery store in Toronto. Are they normally in the refrigerated section and are they so damn expensive? The brand below called Zeroodle was going for $3.49 each. Which brand do you recommend and would the Asian supermarkets have it at a cheaper price?

You could buy one of those spiralizer gizmos and then every zucchini turns into zero-ish calorie fake noodles.

The point of the shirataki-style noodles is to get the flavor and texture of noodles as well, not just the shape.

'The point' depends on what you want out of 'noodles'. broken_jia seems to value price and low-calorie. There's always going to be some sort of compromise.

Yeah, pretty much this. Zucchini noodles are fine, but they're more like salad than noodles. Shiritaki noodles can easily pass for ramen or whatever.

Thanks for the suggestion STinLA. Was thinking Shiritaki noodles would be a similar cost to Ramen ($1 a pack kinda thing). My main point of trying these was to get the texture of noodles, so will probably head to an Asian grocer and pick up a pack or two to try.

Could've been that the prices in the organic supermarket was grossly overpriced, or perhaps TChan constantly spreading the word on them has caused a spike in demand?!

Stock picks by TChan, Chicagoes picks by Ross, youth hockey picks by Schwartz. What else do you need from a poker podcast?

I don't remember which episode -- it was a while ago -- but both Adam and Terrence mentioned the Other Other Topics forum as a "must see".

OOT is now one of my favorite places to spend time on the Internet when I really should be working. What a goldmine.

I highly recommend the "Ask me anything about being an airline pilot" thread in OOT. Years of awesome content if you're interested in aviation.

The documentary "The 13th", it's gut wrenching and scary and also incredibly well made.

My favourite thing at was moment was the speed limiter on my new car. It helps with not going too fast through the endless miles of roadworks. Something Adam should look at in future.

Though it could now be the bacon master posted above.

I gotta say the last one definitely hit hard - especially because it is so close to our time and its absolutely applicable to our times.

After following all the Vegas poker vlogs I seem to have become addicted to slot videos,
particularly those from 'Vegaslowroller'.
His commentary can be hilarious.

In addition to Adam's recommendation of chefsteps.com, I'd recommend Khan Academy. So much free information it's incredible. I've learned about such diverse topics as grammar and second order differential equations. Along the same line are Singularity University and edX. If you want to learn something, you can. Like Terrence said, the internet is great.

Also, I think it would be sweet if you guys (Adam, Terrence and Ross) can post your favourite things on here after you say them on-air, so we can have a one-stop, searchable compendium of favourites.

Another fantastic podcast. It's rare that I post, but listen religiously.

Couple fav things to throw in.

I took Ross's advice on the 'crime town' podcast and it has delivered, so thx for that.

Also, as a fellow big fan of it's always sunny, you should really check out 'The Mick'. Probably the same writers and stars D as the lead role. Great show!
