Being stuck in the middle of the pack is even more frustrating than last year's being stuck at the bottom. At least the POY calculations for my team are all really straightforward!

My team every time I view this thread:

I was reading an article about the POY formula being used this year that showed Barry Greenstein with 327.9 points which is what it shows at the WSOP POY page.

However, this doesn't agree with my total for Barry of 294.3 (which matches FerenceL's latest update). I checked the top 20 and there are 7 players that were picked by our contestants:

ODB Baker
Negreanu
Barry
R. Henson
Leah
Elky

Everyone except Barry is listed at the WSOP page with the same amount of points as they are being credited for here.

Anyone have a guess as to why Barry's total is off? Simply a mistake by WSOP or am I missing something?

Upon closer inspection, jdalla selected Raymond Henson but shows 0 points.

I think Ray Henson's (GPI) totals, 47.2 pts for 699th in event #5, 39.2 pts for 47th in event #11, 38.7 pts for 110th in event #14, 32.7 pts for 450th in event 18, and 125.0 pts for 3rd in event #24 should be credited to Raymond Henson.

I have him manually at 282.8 points. WSOP page has him at 282.58. Rounding difference?

Usually it's GPI that uses the expanded name but in this case their "Ray Henson" is WSOP's "Raymond Henson". Corrected. JDalla now nipping at Adam's heels.

Barry Greenstein is a mystery. I checked all similar names on the database. I checked events that are not finished but have awarded points. I checked if they are giving bonus points for # of cashes. All negative. A big problem is that we are comparing WSOP points to King's Casino points and they are using slightly different calculators so we don't have an exact amount that the points are out by. I guess we just have to believe that King's Casino points are not to be trusted until someone can solve the mystery differently.
