P.S. Give my Cavs some run good Ju-Ju we can use it considering the heartbreak we have felt!!!!
I feel like this is laying the ground work for an epic resolution of the 'driving around almost running out of gas' debate.

Love your work and dedication. As for constructive comments, I never criticize the chef who just served dinner, right. Love the broad range of topics, the depth of analysis, and the good-natured degen life of fun you explore.

I do want to make a quick comment on show #364 and on the topic broached by Adam Sobolewski. I quit online poker about 4 months before black friday (my most positive EV play of all-time . I could see already how software was ruining the game. I have a pretty extreme sense of justice and always play every game with that mindset. ALL poker software cheats the game...unless every single player has the EXACT same set-up. I think the guest said that if he didn't have the all the software and played an unknown player without much data, he'd beat them most the time anyways?? What?? If a top player sat down (unbeknown to him) and played him, and had never been on the site, that would certainly not be true. This type reasoning is falsely justifying all this software. 2nd, yes memorizing all that the push/fold ranges, writing down notes, basically all manual labor is "the work". If i quit my full-time job to memorize everything, that is called dedication. For players who don't have time vs. players who put in thousands of hours, that should be the only difference. HUDS themselves create an uneven playing surface for everyone. Imagine Drew Brees dropping back for a pass, and in his helmet he has a screen overlay that showed him the coverage patterns for the last 5,000 pass plays he had against this team or that formation...all from computer memory, would he have an advantage over the other quarterback who memorized everything? Of course.

When any player in any game has different equipment, unfair knowledge, or has help from outside source, it's called cheating in every sport that i can think of. Even in poker there is a rule "one player per hand". A computer becomes a player and to me is 100% cheating. Put in time, memorize, get better, play fair.

love to Canada...and if you want to edit this all down, by all means do.

Cheers,

Herbert Bennett
BTW, is Terrence a bot? Good Luck in your fight!

I'm currently listening in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia but I am a Brit, originally from the South West of England. I started listening to the pod whilst I was living in Singapore and from there went to live briefly in Phuket. And yes, I did live in a sick house in Thailand!

Now I'm in Malaysia where Stars have pulled out from which sucks. But I still listen to the Pokercast (great job Adam and TChan) and am lucky enough to get to play live poker in exotic places like Macau, Singapore and the Philippines. Or at least I used to but now I've got a 10 weeks old boy so those trips are going to be few and far between now.

Nice! I was just in Deep Cove yesterday to hike Quarry Rock.

Australian Expat listening from Beijing China (8724km outside kells) where I've lived for last 11 yrs. Before that Hong Kong (9857 km outside kells, and my "FAV-or-IT" city in the world)

Just to let you know you guys have been listened to variously at Tian an men Square (without tanks), and on the bus to the Great Wall and Summer Palace respectively, and in a little over a month will be listening at 30000ft on a plane from Beijing to Phuket (10286km outside kells). Will see if i can get a pic to post.

Some points from previous shows/discussions:

1. PS is currently not blocked in china, both website or client (at least not for me), though the encrypted connection can get fouled up occassionally when traversing the GFW, it usually corrects inside a minute so hands don't usually time out.

2. VPN's pretty much no longer work in China at all, govt has managed to block nearly all of them.

3. The references to Coffee in the health posts intrigue me, some years ago an Australian scientific program did a comparison of 4 commonly used drugs to see their effects (Nicotine, Marijuana, Caffeine and forget the 4th) the results were Caffeine is by far the worst and its seeming enhancing effects are actually the exact opposite, it causes a significant degradation in mental performance but makes you feel like your improving. The series was called "whats your poison?" by ABC's Quantum program.

Contrary to some others, I think your divergence away from poker onto other topics is precisely what gives you guys longevity as it gives you other things to talk about while still covering the poker stuff. The long shows are great. The strategy with Ross is something I really enjoy, and overall the shows reached new heights with the new changes.

Dropping the majority of the tournament results reporting has helped make the show more interesting I think.

Ross, I think you've done an excellent job replacing Bunner, without "replacing" Bunner.

Terrence, on one hand I recognise your verbosity and sometimes it tilts me a little, BUT then I suck it up and realise I have the same affliction. So I feel for you man.

Adam, as a fellow +40 you've always resonated with me, keep doing what you're doing. I made a post in the health thread you might find interesting, its by no means on the level of the younguns with their fancy veggie shake thingos, its more a story of my own experience struggling with similar issues you've mentioned previously.

Thanks for the endless hours of enjoyment and hit me up if you want to know anything about life over here.

Cheers

Clay

Replied on page 1 (Woolwich, NJ), but I know you like hearing about some of the cool places you have been listened to. I am a retired U.S. Navy Submariner and used to take my iPod underway and listened to a lot of the back catalog while deployed. You have been listened to at depths that can exceed 800 ft (I had to look up what I was allowed to say) in the Atlantic Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, and Red Sea.

Agree with the comments above. Ross is a great addition and the show is as good as ever.

BTW, I will be in Las Vegas 5-12 June and would love to meet up with any of you if you're around.

Listening from Franklin, WI, but I do most of my listening when driving to play at the Oaks in Emeryville, CA or the Livermore Casino in Livermore, CA.

Work in the Bay Area a lot and the podcast is great on the commute into work or to a poker room.

Have been listening for about 8 months, which is when I first started listening to Podcasts. Started with Serial and the some Bill Simmons/Grantland shows, but your Podcast is now the first priority.

Adam, Terrance, Ross,

I've been listening to the Pokercast for about 5 years from Milford, PA - 3,151 miles from Kells or when visiting the in-laws in Williamstown, County Galway it's only 84 miles from Kells, Ireland. I listen to the show on late night drive home after grinding at Sands Casino - Bethlehem, PA (I know, I know it's a Sheldon Casino, sorry for that, hope you don't ban me from listening, lol). All kidding aside, you guys are therapy after a long grind & I really look forward to listening to you on that ride. Keep up the great work.

Tim

Using my 1st post on you guys.
I am listening from Zürich, Switzerland. My 1st episode was Haralobob discussing the UB Scandal.
About 1.469 km from Kells and roughly 5 Km from FIFA Headquarters.

Love the addition of Terrence. Was a bit sceptical first but Adam as the host has made the show better than ever. Btw would support a paypal for the show

Long time listener to the show from Barcelona, Catalonia (still part of Spain, at least for the time being ). Google says that's 2,150km/1,336 miles from Kells. Originally from London, England but moved out here 10 years ago. In my late 30s now.

Usually listen at night when my little girl's gone to bed (13 months) and I'm washing up. Always look forward to the show. Used to play a fair bit on Stars and live but don't really have the time for it now. Job, daughter and fitness take up the majority of my time, in that order. Still play the odd home game though but the friends I play with only know NLHE so haven't deviated from that for the past year or so.

Was a bit sceptical when MJ left and almost gave up before Terrence joined but now think it's better than ever. Ross is also a good addition, definitely enjoying the hand breakdowns.

Constructive criticism: Terrence, if you could refrain from using the word "obviously" too often when interviewing guests, it'd be much appreciated. Otherwise, loving your work. Keep it up!

All the best, guys.

BC.. Around page 26-29 of this thread I believe, someone said they are 5km outside Kells.

It was read out in the mailbag and the guys decided Kells should become the Pokercast reference point for all cities worldwide. Around 10 episodes ago I want to say (maybe a few more)
