Sammy Farha. Hands down. Or Phil Laak. Ask him about the 10/20 games at the Bellagio.

Edit:
King Niche.

This thread took off and I'd like to see a little attention thrown at Boku87, what he did in low level sit and goes is pretty amazing and it looks like he's going to win the prop bet.

Hey Guys,

I was wondering if you could do a segment on bankroll management. The do's and don't, as well as tips to help get your self out of a slump, and tips on how to get yourself out of a negative state of mind because of your bad streak.

Thanks

+1 ... could be really interesting. BBV has 1000+ people viewing right now (seems to get a lot of interest from the community) and I think it's just been confirmed that he won the bet.

Hi Mike & Adam

First a big thumsb up from out Surfers Paradise here in Australia. I discovered your podcast a couple of weeks ago and am hooked ever since. I think you guys are doing a great job. Your show get's me true a lot of working days. And currently true a lot of days lying in my bed as I'm currently felted by a hernia :-(

On topic: I do not know if this is already mentioned because I did not read this whole thread yet. But perhaps a cool segment for your show would be to see what became of some high flyers of a couple of years ago. No real names jump to my mind now, but I'm sure there were quite a couple of high flyers in the past that did'nt really make it in the professional poker world and know are a genator on a high school or so.

The government created a blacklist supposedly with child porn sites, and will force internet providers to ban any access to the sites on the list. The list has been leaked by someone, and we now see most of the real money poker sites are the list, so all it takes now is for the government to proceed with their "child porn" blacklist, and online poker will be no more in Australia.

There is obviously huge backlash in Australia over the idea of "censoring" our internet, firstly because the list contains a lot more than just child porn, and secondly because of the lack of control the public has to monitor what sites the government can add in the future if it's already not just child porn. In other countries where this has happened, blacklists end up with sites that talk badly about the government/royals of that country. Effectively Australians may lose an avenue for freedom of speech if this goes ahead, as nothing would really stop them banning forums, blogs or anti-government sites.

Here are a few links:
2+2 Poker Legislation:
http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/57...orship-438875/
Poker specific article about the blacklist:
http://www.cio.com.au/article/296460...rnet_blacklist
Australian broadband site with good ongoing coverage of the blacklist:
http://whirlpool.net.au

I'd really like to make sure poker followers are aware just how close they are to losing the entire Australian market, which might be as much as 400,000 players in total according to the 2nd article. So I'm hoping you can give this a mention.

A good segment would be people taping...them...selves...trying to...imitate...the speaking cadence...of...David Sklansky. The...results...could be...inconceivable.

You guys should also consider a spinoff Bunner podcast a la Ricky Gervais.

I'm all for a Bunner spinoff podcast.

Oh, and would you guys get Maria Ho on the show ffs.

Maybe you could bring on a representative from the site and have a discussion with them instead of this pointless one-sided attacks. Spirit Rock trusted UB enough to lose 300k there the other day.. Phil Hellmuth trusts UB enough to lose a bunch.. Matt Hawrilenko trusts UB enough.. get off it already.

We did that already but thanks for the suggestion

I agree with the hosts here. The integrity of the online poker sites is the single most important aspect that keeps MOST players from frequenting the sites, and therefore having a lot of traffic. (I'm surprised that Matt H and others still play there, but they are probably figuring that since the cheating has been exposed, it won't happen again, at least at those sites. Personally, I would still be very wary about having my money there or playing on those sites, but to each his own.)

If a site like UB or AP is found to have been involved in cheating it's own customers, then I don't think it should just be mentioned and then forgotten. People need to know this improper conduct will not be tolerated and the poker community is vigilant about preventing it from happening again.

You might want to check out Matt's latest blog post on UB....

I trust by this statement that you know Matt personally and he has told you he trusts UB. Just because a player is willing to 'take a chance' that playing the poster boy for the site in a heads up match would not be a crooked game certainly doesn't mean he trusts UB and has forgotten the criminal behavior that has gone on there. I'm sure Matt is playing very cautiously on the site and knows he is taking a risk by doing so.

If you would like to pretend the biggest scandal in online poker history is just water under the bridge and simply blindly trust a site that has given you no reason to, no one is stopping you. Just as no one should try tol stop us from reminding players regularly of the companies shady history.

I don't mind you guys talking about it obviously it shouldn't be swept under the rug.

Still, it's in nearly every episode, definitely every time UB/AP etc come up, and it's not like you just say "UP and AB home to the cheating scandal", there's always a 5 minute rant...

no need to remind all the fishies constantly that online poker sites can be rigged i see enough "jokerstars" comments everyday at the tables..

I personally like the ranting and think this stuff needs to be discussed openly. The UB/AP issue is not fully resolved IMO. Mr. Hamilton, if he really was the mastermind behind it all, needs to be brought to justice, and others involved in the scam/cheating. If you do some of the research, you'll discover that there are a LOT of shady people and companies involved in what happened. It wasn't just one guy - there were a few for sure. Mike & Adam mentioned a lot of the details in one of their shows.

As for the "fishies", I'm guessing most of them aren't even listening to Pokercasts, but then again, maybe I'm wrong, lol. In any case, you seem to be suggesting that getting fish in the games is more important than the integrity of the game itself, which I disagree with. If there is cheating in the game, both good and bad players can get screwed and no one will eventually come back, which would really suck.

I agree. I think what he says would also have the effect of having other High Stakes online guys wanting to come on and rebut what he has to say, because he will probably trash at least durrrr and the Dang brothers.

Requesting to get Bill Robertie on the show to talk about where he is now,
what he's doing etc. and also to talk a little bit about the backgammon forum and bring some awareness to it. or even reasons as to why it's a 'dead game' now compared to poker.
