I want to hear some stories about 10/20 at the Bellagio from one Mr. Phil Laak. I don't know if you have done/could do Phil Ivey since he is affiliated with FT but of course he would always be cool

Also how about God himself, Patrick Antonius

I am not sure if it has been suggested but I would like to hear Ed Miller. I really enjoy his articles in Card Player.

I can also tell you what I don't want to hear about: prop bets.

They have nothing to do with poker and, really, if you're not involved in them who really cares?

I agree. We want people to recognize poker as a game of skill, then we show prop bets and other crap.

If we have pros testiying to prove that poker is a game of skill, please use Bill Chen or Chris Ferguson, but don't let "action junkies" like Phil Ivey anywhere near those hearings.

I don't think our show is used a lot on Capital Hill to be honest. Censoring our show so we are some sort of example as to how mathematically based poker is sounds like it might be on the boring side.

I like hearing about prop bets. I like making prop bets. If I had to guess I would say the 83% of our audience like hearing about them and we are nothing if not a democratic show.

I would love to hear you guys pick the mind of the great T.J. Cloutier, I met him once and found he has a great love and understanding of tournament poker. Enjoy the podcast keep up the great job.

Hi Gang -

Much love for the show - I am from the detroit area and have listened to you from the start on rounders...

Anyway - I would very much love to hear some discussion on the 'rake' -
I am a Live 1-2 NL player (capped buy in $200) : 2-5 NL (capped at $500)

Charting the rake and tipping - I am a winning player, but not very much to the positive at the 1-2 game...
In looking at my numbers the rake-n-tip have a grave impact on the profitability of the game. With about $180-200 an hour going down the drop
The game is not that easy to beat for a steady wage.
How beatable is the 1-2 capped game for a good earn really?

The effect is reduced at the 2-5 game...
Never hear very much about this - much on play nothing on rake...

I am a winning player - both online and live - and find many players talking about the games at the 1-2 level and some struggle, not because of their play but the rake, imo They just tell themselves that they are better players at the higher level when it is that the rake has less drag at that level .

Thanks for the great job you do....

As a former broadcaster, and the son of a lifelong broadcaster, I understand that prop bets and other silliness make "good TV" (and good radio).

What I was adressing is that when we have poker players speaking to the media, legislative hearings, etc., trying to convince them that poker is a game of skill, we better be very careful who we put out there.

I don't think that someone who has worn a chicken suit on TV because he lost a prop bet, or someone like Phil Ivey who will bet on anything and everything, is someone we want making our case, and subject to the questioning of a grandstanding politician who would like to make his own "good TV".

Here is something I would like to hear discussed in greater detail.

In this week's show you explained the reasoning behind Negreanu's excessive rebuying and how it relates to knowing when his table will be broken up.

Doesn't it follow from that, that knowing your table will not be broken up early is an unfair advantage over those at tables that will?

Should the rules be changed so that it is not decided what table to break up until it becomes necessary to break a table in rebuy events?

Also, I think T.J. Would be a terrific guest.

OK, so I am going to suggest neither a guest nor a segment but instead an idea for a thread here in the pokercast forum. In many of the other forums, including SSNL and some of the coaching forums for example, many of the more successful posters/players will eventually have a "well" where they answer any question, within reason, from anyone who posts. Any chance on getting a well thread up here for Mike and Adam, and even possibly TT and Bunner (even all in the same thread would be fine I'm sure) for any random questions? I don't know, maybe this isn't a great idea but I would like to see if some of this forum's other regulars would be interested in something like this.

Please get Jim Moran jr, to discuss the very famous video, and the rumored Poker documentary. Also, I'd love to know about how he developed such an intense love and passion for the game.
