Sorry guys - unfortunately the situation with Adam's sister-in-law is bad, and understandably, he needs to be with his wife. That combined with the fact I am considering the 10k triple draw means we are likely looking at a Wednesday (6/29) show.
I'm in no way making this up, I'd venture to say I've hit refresh on my podcast list over 300 times in the last five days hoping like a desperate crackhead that the new episode would be posted. Despite telling myself to stop...I continue. It's rather ridiculous.
On other fronts, thanks for the amazing work you guys do year after year. You keep getting better and better!
And, when are you going to get rid of this thread since it also doesn't appear to serve its stated purpose, I mean really, the last post was July 8th and with gaps between posts of up to 2 months. Another pointless cluttering sticky thread that needs to go...
Stupid Canadian sports channel didn't air it until most of the way through the coverage today. Apparently, having the Sunday NFL game on three channels was more important.
They streamed it on their app, so we tried to set it up but we couldn't do that and stream at the same time without the internet in T's apartment shutting down.
We settled on doing an audio only recording, which we will likely upload in case anyone wants to listen to it.
Show recording in an hour sans Adam but + Ryan Laplante, will be online by the (West Coast) afternoon. Get your last minute WSOP comments/questions in.
I've been doing the show for 12 years now and it's still hard to know where to draw the line wrt disclosing personal details. Terrence, Ross and I (and MJ in the past) all really value the community feeling of those that listen to the show. We say it often but that's because it's true, it's really one of the main reasons we all do it.
A few years ago I shared on the show that my wife had been diagnosed with cancer. The response from the listenership was amazing and heart-warming. Something that was dearly needed in that moment. In particular, Johnny Douglas and all the listeners that sent a card was really cool. Can't thank those that did that enough.
Anyway, she fought and was cancer-free for three years. Unfortunately, the cancer has returned. The last couple weeks have been hard on my family as you can imagine. My focus has been elsewhere so the show has suffered somewhat. My apologies for that, I absolutely love doing it each week with Terrence and Ross and have no plans to stop or slow down at all. Just need a bit of time to get our heads wrapped around the next course of action.
Thanks in advance for everyone's patience. Ya'll are cool as hell!
