The favourite things thread appears to be gone, but season 3 of Black Mirror hits Netflix on Oct 21st.

What's up Boyz? Just chillin' here in southern california -- which is approximately 21 million Double-D breast implants away from Kells...

I have a strat question about getting raised in live cash games. In the L.A. casinos that I frequent, I've found out that my opponents' postflop raising bluff frequency is so low that I'm almost always beat/crushed when I'm betting a hand like Top Pair, Top Kicker.

If that's true, would it make sense then to almost always fold (assuming we have enough behind) when we are raised by opponents in a live game? If we don't have some kind of hugely reliable read, or some massive combo draw ourselves, I feel like I would be saving a huge amount of money by just folding 95% of the time when raised (especially check-raises).

Whaddya boyz think?

Recently there was a discussion about whether "I have you covered" is a legit response to "How much you got?" If the player indeed has you covered, what does it matter how much he really has? His effective stack stack is your stack size. Can you give an example of when it does matter?

Guest recommendation!

Jnandez (@JNandezPoker on twitter). He is a high stakes PLO player plays 500PLO+. Super interesting and well thought out person. Streams on twitch (guessing Ross must have watched him before), his twitch is: https://www.twitch.tv/jnandezpoker

He burned out a few months ago from streaming and has been back now for about a week in full force. I would guess he would be down to do a show with you all. Looks like he has a PLO site and other things being worked on the background.

Cheers and love you all!

Hey guys,

Obi writing from Munich Germany, which is about 194,871.2 UFC rings away from Kells.

First off I want to say that I'm really excited about your new sponsor Run It Once! This seems like a perfect match and I can't wait to hear some of their pros giving interviews/strat tipps/etc. on the show. And I am especially excited about the upcoming RIO pokersite and all the information we'll be getting through the cast leading up to its launch next year!

I would like to make a guest recommendation as well. I think it would be nice to get Gordon Vayo on the show, especially since he's won the Win Star something-something-weird-payout-poker-tournament during the break of the WSOP final table. I think he has a very interesting back story (playing online way back under aged and being backed by JohnnyBax) and it would def be interesting to hear about his preparation for the Octo9 as well.

Would be nice if you get him, if not I'll be listening anyway.
The new format is really good, gives me numerous smaller portions to listen to on my commute.

Keep up the good work!

Peace

Recent discussion on the podcast about the lawyer who kept talking after putting his opponent all in with a bluff at the WSOP day 4 broadcast. Terrence and Adam tend to defend the guy's actions stating that he may have been unethical but didn't break any rules. The tournament director sat him out for "taunting".

From my point of view, if I have a decision for all of my chips and my opponent keeps talking which may be distracting and preventing me from analyzing my decision and situation, I should be able to invoke a STFU rule. That is, I should be able to enforce that my opponent shuts the **** up and allows me to think before someone calls the clock on me (which happened in this situation).

I found his behavior to be unacceptable and I stand behind the ruling that the tournament director made.

By the way, there is a rule regarding taunting in the WSOP rules, here it is:

46. Any participant who taunts another participant through theatrics or gestures or engages in any form of inappropriate behavior intended
to disrupt other players in the tournament will be subject to penalty in accordance with Rules 39, 107 and 108.

Did the woman ever ask kassouf to be quiet? He seems like an annoying blabbermouth tool to me, only because he seems to talk incessantly and say so little.
09-22-2016 , 07:25 AM
She complained to the tournament directors during the hand. They told her to go ahead and play the hand out after trying to get the lawyer to shut up. Right after that, another player called the clock on her so she had only 1 minute then to make a decision for her tournament life. It seemed very unfair....

Agreed it that's the case, however the broadcasts are edited to a great degree so we can't be sure of how long she had.

1 caterpillar is cute, 10,000,000 caterpillars are gross.

Hey Guys,

Been catching up with some of the recent episodes. Thought it was really cool to hear T-Chan share what deal making used to be like on Stars back when he was working there. I wonder if he could give more insight or has any similar cool stories to share?

Thanks heaps,

Al
