Tbell said he couldn't play due to the late draft, so I invited our alternate, DC.

Just changed our FAAB minimum bid to $0 so people can pick up players even after they have exhausted their budget.

Everyone had paid, so we are good to go. Last order of business is figuring out payouts. Last few years with 14 entrants we've done:
Highest Scoring Single Week: $100
Regular Season Champ: $250
Regular Season Runner-up: $100
1st Place Playoffs: $600
2nd Place Playoffs: $250
3rd Place Playoffs: $100
Total: $1400

We could straight ratio by 12/14th, but that would make dumb payout amounts. How does this look?

Regular Season Champ: $200 (-$50)
Regular Season Runner-up: $100
1st Place Playoffs: $500 (-$100)
2nd Place Playoffs: $225 (-$25)
3rd Place Playoffs: $100
Total: $1200

Best team could still end up with $775 of the $1200 (64.6%), where before it could get $950 of $1400 (67.8%).

Thoughts?

We also currently have 13 week regular season and 4 weeks of playoffs (2 rounds). With 12 teams we can decrease that to 12 week regular season (one team would play another twice) and still have 4 weeks of playoffs and avoid week 17. I'll make that change now, and if anyone feels strongly about it, we can discuss it.

I think -25 for 2nd place playoffs and +25 for highest scoring single week (so if you cash you at least get money back)

tough draft - that Mike Tyson quote 'everybody has a plan until they're punched in the mouth' felt very accurate...missed out on basically all my sleepers and my RB in rds 1, 2 and 3 strat was decimated

Who are your sleepers? I thought you had a nice draft. We both went no TE/QB until very late. I was eyeing Alex Smith as my QB, but you grabbed him and a run of backup QBs went but luckily Rivers slipped through to me.

Murray is also a huge steal late.

Yep, I was looking at Cousins, Smiff and Luck for QBs. Had been planning on picking 3 RBs early and just loading up on WR but the RB value wasn’t there. I’m not a Miller fan but just figured he’s got a good chance to be very active

surprised Murray is so undervalued tbh, even his week 1 predictions are low.

Miller was one of the 2 guys I planned to draft in an exact spot and completely forgot to do so.

Makes it fairer if someone gets injured during practice or something so whomever hears the news first doesn't automatically get that person. Like the Zeke circus last season.

Whoever bids the most money wins the player. You can place bids on as many players as you want and prioritize them in whatever order you want. When you run out of money you have to wait for waivers to pass and pick up free agents.
