Just looked at the setup. Holy **** there's a lot of positions. That will be fun. I noticed for pitchers there is no designation between RP and SP. As a no0b any suggested split? Also as a no0b this is just strict compiling? So whoever has most total hr at seasons end wins that category etc...? Does it matter how much you win or lose by? Strict compiling. First in category gets say 10 points (if 10 team league). Last gets 1 point. Most total points win.

Example: you could have 200 saves and second could have 1 save and everyone else had 0 saves and you get 10 points and person with 1 save gets 9.

Sounds cool. So then you can't just punt a category. Seems like finishing 3rd or 4th in every category could ship. Lot to think about strategy wise. Looking forward to it

You can take a look at how last year finished up by going to the League Homepage and selecting the History link. Then select Expanded Standings and then click Season Standings.

I consciously "punted" saves (de-prioritized drafting and owning Closers, but still had a few low end ones), and ended up near the bottom in a couple of other categories where I wasn't punting, but still was able to scrape out the top spot.

Ignore the 2016 league history as that was a different format.

You will also want to be cognizant of the minimum and maximums on the Pitching side:
- 200 Games Started Maximum (essentially making it so you don't go all starting pitchers)
- 1000 IP Minimum to qualify for ERA and WHIP categories (essentially making it so you don't go all closers/relievers)

Hmm how does the max starts work? Stop counting stats after 200 total starts?

Correct somewhat, it checks each day. So if you're at 199 starts and have 3 starts that day, it'd count all those starts. Also, it disables all pitching once you're at that threshold I believe, including RP's who dont start.

Yeah, the weekly starts max was easily gamed for our head to head format two years ago.

The two that needed to pay paid me immediately after I emailed & messaged them. I wasn't worried about them, they've played with us over many seasons.

Pretty sure we aren't going to hear from dfbuzzbeater. He hasn't logged into 2p2 since December and hasn't responded to the email that activated the league, or that the draft is today, or the personal email I sent him.

So we have 9 paid, and that is probably what we are going to end up with. Our most runners for baseball ever!

Last year payouts were
1st: $125
2nd: $50
3rd: $25

So I'll probably split the extra $25 among 1st and 2nd and have:
1st: $140
2nd: $60
3rd: $25

Note: Since we are a weekly league, the ESPN week for week 1 is 3/29 through 4/8, so make sure you have your lineups set before first pitch on Thursday.

Go figure my catcher hurts himself carrying luggage. Brightside I realized I picked Kershaw with my first pick, for some reason I woke up thinking I used my first pick on machado and was like WTF were you thinking.

Usually this stuff works out. I can't think of a time in fantasy sports i ever made a good draft decision. Usually some mid-late round guy has a phenom year and/or I pull some magic on the waiver wires.
