Great episode. Couldn't believe the degen storytime. At least it was a story about someone else, and not the guy telling it.

True, but if pwned were a real word, "pawned" would pretty much be the most illogical way to say it. "Poned," "Pah-owned," and "owned" would all make far more sense given the evolution of the word.

"Pawned" would only make sense if you beat some guy in chess after giving him a ridiculous spot. Example: I started the game without any rooks, bishops, knights or queens and I still won. I totally pawned that guy.

great show enjoyed JC and the stories but what was with all the sniffing in between sentences? Bad cold or were you indulging in some beak.

I think that Story Time should be renamed Degen Time. It would make it just make it so much more enticing to listen to.

It was hilarious listening to those stories, would love to here more. I'm you know enough old school players to round up a few more. I remember reading a lot more involving Sam Grizzle iirc

I played with Mo and Hopkins in LA. Greg has a lot more stories. These were only the best ones.

I agree with another poster, that the segment should be re-named DEGEN TIME., or Tales of the Degenerated. They are bloody hilarious - and props to whoever came up with the idea for this segment, this is exactly what us listening poker public want. Absolutely nails it. Stories of legendary gamblers, epic winning streaks, bad beats, booze and brasses. Fantastic stuff. if it were possible, you could almost claim that the tales are on a par with the 'PH words of wisdom' segment.

On the subject of PH, the Hoss TBF stuff was GOLD, PH is such a self-absorbed plank. Also your Sheets thread analysis was great MJ and AS.

Cant help noticing that it took 87 posts ITT for a listener to mention the feratured guest. ok the itunes problems generated many posts, but it may also reflect that although JC is clearly a decent chap, his interview was a tiny bit meh.

Another great show guys. Cassidy is certainly an understated guy, but I thought his interview was a good contrast to the over the top storytime and WOW segment. The whole Hoss chat still has me in stitches, and apparently he's now having trouble getting UB to ship him the HH file of that session. Your buddy Terrance had a great comment about that problem -- "Sleep with dogs, wake up with fleas."

Another excellent episode fellas, of course I enjoyed the instant classic which was this weeks Storytime but also hearing Adam breakdown a couple hands of his own was great to hear. "Ask Their Name"...at the end of that segment I kept thinking that David had just recently listened to Destiny's Child - loved it.

One last comment about show length from me, then I'll shut up about it as I'm pretty sure I'm well on record for thinking the longer the show the better...the Pokercast is a highlight of my week when it comes to my hobby and I think that a lot of listeners appreciate it the way I do. In my opinion, excellence has never been achieved by catering to the lowest common denominator, you know? Purposefully shortening the show time as to appease those who simply don't want to listen and thereby cutting out some of the amazing content that makes the PCast great would be a shame. Not saying I wouldn't still listen, of course I would...I'm on team Pokercast! Just sayin, if the content is there and it makes the show what it is, we wanna hear it. If it's not some weeks, so be it, that's cool too. For example, if this week was only 90 min maybe we'd not have heard one of the sickest degen stories of all time and I wouldn't be telling my friends about it and where I heard it.

Oh and the Durrrr story on the plane was funny too, although i told my missus and the first thing she said was 'i'd have asked for more than 0.5%'. I had to agree. Must of been very weird for the guy, who prolly had no clue who Durrrr is, being offered 0.5% of some random blokes (to him) poker winnings. i lol'ed at the thought. What a bonus 900 bucks eh.
