Pokercast Episode 55 - Ashton Griffin & Steve Cyr Pokercast Episode 55 - Ashton Griffin & Steve Cyr

I thought Cyr was awesome on the show so I bought the book.

The book is a huge letdown. Not recommended at all. It is poorly written and the way the stories are told is not engaging. In fact, in the book, they are rather tedious.

I skipped a couple of posts so maybe I missed this opinion. Great show, great stories from Steve Cyr but I was also annoyed by this guy. Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. I would trade my life for his job in a heartbeat. He just seemed so full of himself and arrogant (rightfully so). I expected to come to this forum and see people ragging on him.

I only posted this because everyone loved this episode so much and I thought the negative opinion didn't get it's fair share. It was a great episode, I listened to it twice.

If I had a choice on great story tellers that were going to come back I would vote for Danny Robison. I'm not religious either.

The name of the book IS "Whale Hunt in the Desert", correct?

You'd be surprised how many books have whale hunting in the desert in their title...

D'oh! At least I finally got the right one.

Wish I had supported 2p2 tho, AND got the ridiculous price cut.

So, way late, but Steve was top 3 interviews imo, and also

Try the new BACON Cheesy Gordita Crunch at Taco Hell. Seriously..

Just finished reading the book, "whale hunting in the desert" great read. great stories. What a life, the experiences were unreal. Just a heads up though I could only find the book on Amazon in the used book store. I was also able to save about $10 rather than buy new.

-1

I'm only on the 2nd chapter and so far I'm pretty hooked, it's pretty much what I was expecting/wanting.

I just listened to this broadcast, and it was a stellar show. Steve was great. Also props to Ashton for being an athlete and still competing. Wrestlers are the tops!

I'm confused. What's your beef? If he is rightfully full of himself, why hate?

Just listened to this, very entertaining, also props to Ashton for mentioning Circa Survive, they're my fave band, excited for their new cd that should be coming out relatively soon.
