09-30-2008 , 07:27 AM
Live from the Two Plus Two Studios - The feature guest this week on Pokercast is Two Plus Two author Collin Moshman. Collin is on the program to talk about his newly released poker strategy book about heads-up play titled "Heads-Up No-Limit Hold 'em". He talks about several topics from his new book including exploitive play, controlling pot size and gives some real world hand analysis. Also featured on the program is the highly anticipated segment "Bunner In The Pokercast Well". Mike and Adam also talk some tournament news, forum static and of course give away the password for the October 5th Poker Stars VIP Club freeroll.

There are some very smart guys out there who have a lot to teach about poker who can't talk for ****. Please let these guys continue to write books and articles, and leave them out of interviews and out of the strategy segments.

The Pokercast is easily my favorite poker podcast. But it seems like 2+2 publishing credentials get too much priority in deciding who gets to assault our ears.

(Not trying to pick on Moshman. Just happened to make this post after his show.)

Regarding Neary, he finished 2nd at the Aussie Millions and his scholarship was at Division II Sonoma State in California. Oliver was a freelance reporter at the time of that incident.

too bad the iTunes version gets clipped before this. The podcast ends at 1:28:32. This is just after the PS VIP Club commercial after the Moshman interview.

I was able to download it, and the show was over 2 hours. I'd suggest deleting and trying again.

Peoples,

We need ideas for the November nine roulette thing. Preferably something that will make Johnson look foolish when he loses.

Have a 10 minute conversation with Oliver Tse without being critical of him.

Yikes, just now listened to the Collin Moshman interview and I knew I wouldn't be the only one thinking this.

Great poker mind, great interview, great all of it, but someone really needed to give the young man some sort of beverage. If I didn't know any better, I would have thought he had just eaten a peanut-butter sandwich and had no milk to wash it down.

Then again, Sklansky in the Sklansky Minute sounds like a man who wrote his thoughts on flash cards. Nothing wrong with that per se, but he apparently did it with one just one or two words per card. ("Anytime... [flip card] you face... [flip card] a raise... [flip card] preflop... [flip card] give... [flip card] some thought..." you get the idea.)

Ah, good times. And good show, as always.

Get a box of Kraft Dinner. Take the cheese packet out, the loser has to eat the powdered cheese mix, by emptying (entire) the packet into his mouth. Nothing to drink...

- or -

Drink a tub of KFC gravy (250 ml).

(We did bets for both at my old job).

Bunner backlash!! If you only knew how much we actually pick on the guy.

The show is tight, you guys just get carried away when you start with the Bunner stories. I for one am more interested in Adams run in the WSOP main event...I've watched like 6 shows and I'm waiting to see him on TV. Any tips on when he will be on the tube? Did you know that Norman Chad was divorced a few times...because apparently he has been?

Ya, I certainly see your point. It's just old men like us are easily distracted by a buddy getting some tail.

I don't ever remember having a camera at my table during the main event. Never got to a tv table either.

Awesome show guys, especially with the comedy Bunner elements.
More of them please.
