LMAO, that was the biggest level in the history of the 2P2 pokercast, Bond is awesome.

"You know, the person with the most skill ALWAYS wins the tournament so I'm not going to let little things like being crippled or being eliminated from the tournament stop me...!"

Ohhh man, I haven't laughed so hard in months. Thanks for making it a very entertaining listen, Tony.

just grabbing it now.. so far so good. iTunes download seems a bit slower than usual, but that may be a good sign...

BOND is officially my favorite poker player in the history of man. No Favorite man ever in the history of ever that even know what poker is. 5 Minutes into this interview and I dont care what he ever says ever again. YOU WIN BOND. Im not starstruck ever... OK now I am.

I thought I respected your game and pokermind....now you have got me as a disciple.

I eagerly await the rest of this interview.

Thank you for all the greatness you bestow on this world sir Bond18.

For anyone else that's a big dork like me, here is the Wikipedia entry for Macau. Looks like a pretty interesting place.

Great interview with Bond18. Glad the Bill Fillmaff style beginning didn't go on too long though.

Weird thing is, I'm working whilst listening to the podcast, and a client emails me asking me to put together something for them to promote the work they did in launching the Grand Lisboa Casino in Maccau! I presume this is where the game is taking place?

Here's some pics they sent me...

Its at the Grand Waldo Hotel & Casino, not the Grand Lisboa. Grand Waldo is the host of the PokerStars branded poker room.

Yep, Vnh Tony, that was a masterclass and while the return to a more regular style for the 2nd part was a timely move, EgoBond surely has gimmick account potential, superb sir.

Overall, a super entertaining show with TC a capable understudy to MJ.

Terrence is great on the "radio". He was always really good on the old show.

I have to admit that at first I wasn't sure is I was going to like Jeffrey Haas on the show but I thought the interview with him turned out great. He seems like a pretty interesting guy and he definitely has a very cool job.

yeah, Bond 18 was pretty entertaining too. I'm glad he gave up the fake persona after the first segment. Was funny enough, but started to grate on my nerves...

Re: Pokercast Episode 38 - LIVE from the APPT in Maccau with Tony Dunst aka Bond 18

I'd say first-half interview "act" went on at least 3 minutes too long. Good gear-shift tho second half was solid imo, not sure if there was some quick "hey man, let's have an actual interview here" during the commercial or if this was Bond's intention from the beginning.

Was fearing a "worse-than-durrr-interview" but second half won me back. Going to listen to the rest of the show now.

[edit] I think the first half of the interview would have been much more funny if Adam and Terence were both in on the act, but it just seemed really awkward and annoying imo.

Haas didn't do justice to the horror that is eating balut.

You don't just crack open the shell and eat the duck/chicken.

First open up a small hole in the shell through which you suck the black viscous fluid which surround the embryo. As you peel back the shell you'll notice the veins and matter which attach to some sort of rigid portion of the shell. You'll be expected to work your way through this, finishing, of course, with the very identifiable, and quite sizable unborn bird cradled fetally in the center.

The chicken/duck itself is fully outfitted with feathers, eyes, beaks, bones and the like. Gnaw your way through those. Use your molars on the skull, but be careful, it might squirt.

Bon appetite and don't forget the salt and the San Miguel. You'll need a lot of San Miguel.

That description was awesomely stomach turning. You should have been a writer for Fear Factor.

I don't care if it's rude to the host, and it might mean that WWIII is about to be started by china as a result of me not eating it. That is some seriously ****ing sick ****. I'm vegetarian, so I'm probably over reacting, but I'd really would rather eat poo. At least with poo, you know what you're getting, and you hardly have to chew poo (so I've heard).

I'm going to draft my application for sensitivity training now... And an apology to the chinese community at large...

And no, no prop bets, I'm not eating poo or balut.

Philippines...they eat balut in the Philippines. That in itself should tell you something when the Chinese aren't on board. If the Chinese aren't eating it already, it probably shouldn't be considered foodstuff.

Bond18 == Funny. Great stuff :-)

Well done to Terrence and Adam for not cracking up. Although I swear I could *almost* hear Terrence about to lose it.
