First of all, who won the coin flip (35K vs 20K)? Second, and I know everyone will disagree with me 100%, but I think FWF is very arrogant.

The kind of arrogance you just can't argue with, tho, imo.

Part of what makes him so talented.

Good show guys!

Mike where were you fishing?
08-12-2008 , 04:30 PM
I was fishing in an area called Rivers Inlet in British Columbia. The salmon weren't there this year(aparently their run has been around the west coast of Vancouver Island rather than the inlet for the past 2 seasons) so rather than get skunked we switched to bottom fishing for Halibut etc. which is when the killer ling cod and the giant octopus incidents occurred.

How the hell do you catch a 40-pound octopus?
08-12-2008 , 07:38 PM
Can you eat the monster fish?
08-12-2008 , 08:26 PM
Haha, sick fish. Both guys seemed real cool and like good guests. As for your question about famous people who surf 2+2 or play poker. I know Gilbert Arenas got some crap a few years ago for playing online poker during halftime of NBA basketball games and is also has a well-known blog. He's probably somebody who has at least looked at the forums.

Yeah Rivers can be a hard beast to conquer. Family friends own a lodge on the West Coast of Vancouver Island and the fishing there has been pretty good the last little while. The one thing with rivers inlet though is that if you catch them they will be big. Nice Ling too.

If you go again next year I would recommend giving Nootka Sound a shot.
