Pokercast Episode 342 - Dani Stern and Marco Valerio

This week on the show: Terrence joins Adam from Hong Kong to talk about some of the stories of the past week including Daniel Negreanu's blog about Vicky Coren's decision to leave Pokerstars Team Pro and the article in Forbes magazine on Amaya CEO David Baazov. Marco Valerio joins the guys to talk about the new bill in California to regulate online poker as well as his Spontaneous Act of Poker Kindness charity drive. Dani Stern is the feature interview and tells us all the details on the amazing comeback of his friend Kevin Boudreau. Dani also gives us the lowdown of the current poker expat scene in Playa Del Carmen and offers up some great PLO pointers for both beginner and advanced players alike. Adam and Terrence talk about Allen Cunningham's latest poker bot as well as some tidbits from Mike McDonald's reddit.com AMA. Matthew Hilger joins in from the Isle of Man to give us the lowdown on the new VIP services available in the VIP store and fills us in on all the promotions coming in December, including the $1M Spin and Go. Vicky Coren is a tournament poker player and there is enough edge to be made in live tournaments for her to justify her views solely based on tournament poker. Terrence is referring to cash games and cash game poker degenerates unlike Vicky. Poker in main stream media is understood as tournament poker and has nothing to do with cash games which is the game of choice for losing degenerate poker players.

Running your gas tank near empty all the time absolutely will shorten the life of at very least, your fuel filter. All the sediment and crud that builds up over time tends to settle near the bottom of your tank and when you run it low, it all gets sucked up.It also causes your fuel pump to have to work harder, leading to failure due to overheating. For those of us in cold weather climates, if you let your car get below 1/4 full you run the risk of vapor lock and being left stranded when your car wont start ( Condensation of moisture in the air in the gas tank causes an accumulation of water. Because water is heavier than gasoline, it settles to the bottom of the tank, entering the gas line and eventually working its way to the lowest point in the fuel system.Once the moisture freezes, the fuel flow is blocked and the engine may not start on a cold morning.) Also, as a long time listerner, I beg of you, no more PlO strategy talk!!! It is so dry to listen to! I love poker, and have a good basic understanding of PLO, but when someone like Ansky, who is clearly a genius at the game talks, I can barely follow along with what he is saying. ( Could be partly due to the fact that I am not really interested)
