I don't wanna spoil it for anyone, but great intro

Thanks... It was about TIME!

edit: thanks for great entertainment... I go to a school that is located at the top of a mountain (SFU for those from vancouver), and it takes me about 1,5h on the bus to get up there and I always get people looking at me laughing cos I'm listening to the show while on the bus =)

Another cool show and I enjoyed it a lot. Would love to post some more comments later on so I don't spoil anything for anyone. A few interesting things you picked up on.

And I know you are a notorious mispronouncer or whatever it's called But seriously, the way you pronounced that Danish guy's name must be the worst to this date? :P Congratulations! Can't blame you too much though. This one was a tough one for you English speakers!

Hi Adam,

The number would be 24, if there would be an average of 365 players per event (and those are always the same players). I believe the average # of players per event is higher and lots of people just play one event. But yeah, the chances of the same person winning two events in 55 should be a +EV bet.

Love the show, listen to it every week BUT... one thing that kinda tilts me is Mike always pronouncing Daniel's name as neh-grah-noo instead of neh-GRAWN-you. lol, stupid nitpick, I know. Other than that, great job. I especially love the sound bites from that Moran dude.

Link to KRANTZ and Whitelime go to Chipotle - as discussed on the program.

I love the idea of a Jim Moran "remixed" clip... hopefully someone with audio editing skills will take up this project!

Anybody know the exact number of people (cab drivers or whatever) on that Doyle prop bet about having the same birthdays that was discussed? Sounded interesting.

Hey guys,

Nice to bring up the topic of higher level online players being irritated with unintelligent live poker players, or poker conversation.

Although many players may have developed skills at actually playing poker, they are also lacking in many common sense, and social skill concepts. The idea of being irritated by stupid or inexperienced players is absolutely ludicrous. Stupid players are where most of the money in the poker world comes from. Sure sharks can feed on sharks, but its a lot tougher to pry those chips away.

Rather than be irritated that another player does not know as much as you do, the appropriate attitude to have, is to be grateful for that, and hope that it stays that way.

Alot of that arrogant attitude that Mike pointed out can be seen on the forum here too. Regulars and many no life D-bag poker players often expect that EVERYONE else knows what the latest slang, concepts or inside jokes are just because most 90 hour a week grinders/ 15 posts per day 2+2ers, do.

Even with our good buddy Jim Moran Jr, I see people commenting on his play of his set, acting like he is the dumbest human being alive for how he played his set of Queens. God forbid that there is an online player out there who doesn't play his hand perfectly. We just can't have that. He min check raised. So what. If everyone out there was a perfect player, there would be no positive EV situations. It's not like the video came off of the Cardrunners website.

I just think many players need to check their egos at the door, and focus on the big picture of poker. 'Seeing the forrest through the trees' as the saying goes, and the next time you see a guy call a preflop 3 bet with Jack Ten and crack Aces, tell him JT is one of your favorite hands, and you have a tough time ever laying it down.... along with any Ace, any two face cards, or any pocket pair. Never fold these preflop.

can someone go more indepth with the reasoning behind the cab bet. The one where you bet that one of the cab drivers will have the same birthday as another, and the number is 24?

As you can see, the number at which it becomes likely that two people share the same birthday is actually 23 with a probability slightly higher than 50% and with 75 people it is 99.9%. I remember pulling up these websites a couple years ago when someone at work challenged me that it was very unlikely that two people in our office of 25 shared the same birthday.

LOL...Just finished listening to the show...thanks for the shoutout Adam.

Edit: One Question, would being an honorary mod give me the right to honorarily ban people that start threads asking for the password?

It would be an honorary ban. You would just have to trust them to stop posting.

LOL...I could just follow them around to wherever they post and write GTFO GTFO GTFO GTFO GTFO or maybe it would be funnier to just politely remind them that they have had the honorary banhammer dropped on their ass and ask them to leave

I consider this the largest and most egregious error I have ever made on radio. There is simply no comparison of comedic talent between the two. I cannot believe i did that.

Mr Murray, my humblest apologies. Chevy Chase cannot hold your jock, though Fletch made laugh a little. Oh ya, Modern Problems had a chuckle or two. Maybe the first and second prat fall on SNL. But ya, still apples and oranges.

and we won't even get into dramatic acting

Thanks for the shout out! Listen to every episode and it was too cool to hear my name on the show! And yes I'm from South Bend, Indiana home of the Fighting Irish! (Felt a lot cooler saying that before last football season) Keep up the great work!

Just listened to the latest podcast, good work as always.

I lol'ed. It's pretty well done but gets a little cluttered at the end when they really start talking over each other. Nice job though whoever did that.

Ha. I tried earlier today to get you a title. Was thinking either:

a. hideous orangutan
b. Duck without orange or cherries
c. Invading Poland
d. Out of Waldorfs

Apparently only guys with red names can give titles. Don't be surprised if you get one in the next week or so.
