Yeah I want to hear what you guys think about the Lock thing as well.

Recent emails posted in NVG state that Lock's policy is that transferred funds are not eligible to be withdrawn, and the latest one posted said that this was "final and not going to change".

Winnings from transferred funds will be reviewed by security in order to determine if they can be withdrawn.

So basically Lock is turning real money into play money.

So basically Lock is turning real money into play money.

So they permit you to transfer and then essentially confiscate the money from the person you transferred it to. Obviously, if they don't want you transferring money and have are having trouble with 'black market', just ban all transfers until the problem goes away. It's that simple.

Otherwise your policy is simply of way of stealing money. This policy is a criminal acts and makes me furious and sick to my stomach at the same time.

Sort of like Zynga! In before Lock starts offering the option to buy virtual drinks, flowers, high roller dice, etc.

great show as usual.

I used to think that high stakes pro were wise enough to avoid pit games but it seems more and more that those who avoid the pit are the exception rather then the rule.

According to the site, not allowing transfers to be cashed out was "temporary" and they are supposed to be clarifying a play through requirement today.

However, for the past two weeks, people have posted emails that clearly stated that p2p transfers were ineligible for withdrawal, period.

It LOOKS like they conceived of this as a way to seize funds but weren't expecting this level of backlash. A calculated risk - after all, people have been griping about Lock issues for some time now.

At the very least, they bought themselves time, since they canceled cash out that, in some cases, people have been waiting for for months, which will now have to be resubmitted, reauthorized, and then processed again.

Honestly their communication skills rival FTP at their worst. And obviously that's not a compliment.

Obviously they need to either ban p2p transfers or clarify a play through policy, but allowing transfers only to essentially seize them is theft.

According to some posts in the Lock subforum, there was supposed to be clarification of the policy today. There was an interview released on g911 (LOL) where the owner stated there was a play through requirement and the suspension was only temporary, but no statement of what the p2p transfer policies actually are, or what play through requirements need to be met.

Just overall a ridiculously poorly run and shady site, IMO. I'm reminding people in NVG to tweet to warn their friends away from the site with the hashtag #LockPokerSucks. I don't know why anyone would want to play on a site that has a history of lying to their customers and has repeatedly demonstrated they don't care about the players other than as a means to make money.

I made notes this week.

Not surprised guys named "Johnson" and "Schwartz" are MonsterDong fans.

I'm reading Douglas Adams' The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, and there are some great explorations about rationalizing, like this...

"The impossible often has a kind of integrity to it which the merely improbable lacks. How often have you been presented with an apparently rational explanation of something which works in all respects other than one, which is just that it is hopelessly improbable? Your instinct is to say, 'Yes, but he or she simply wouldn't do that.'"

There are lots of improvements that need to be done to the Poker Stars iPad app, like a simplified deck option [that would help Adam out], stud games and separating private tournaments in the lobby, also it doesn't have to mute audio from other applications to make beeps, Mail, for instance, can beep at you without stopping an audio-stream. It desperately needs an in-app web-browser.

Mueller said you were boring!

I can't quite place that "My girlfriend, a female..." bit.

Boom! was a better name. They have different titles for different countries for movies and TV shows, you could have different titles for different audiences. Boom! A Poker Story. It will be a smash during WSOP. How close can you get it to inside the Rio?

Re: Cardrunners at 1:40:01

Whaaa? Listened to it twice in order to comprehend what was meant by polarized ranges. He seemed to be describing what I see every week on the broadcast of the Sunday Million final table; a place where one seldom sees weak players.

Otherwise.....great show.
