Gaelle Baumann memorial finish!

Great intro, I really got a kick out of the Simpsons episode this week and was wondering if you guys would comment on it.

12th. Which is cool because I was playing for the win and not trying to sneak into the final table.

Thanks for the shoutout guys... and I'm a 49ers fan so the name Joe Nameth didn't make my husband a lock for me when I met him... had it been Jerry Rice, that would have been a lock!

Wow, that was some good info from schneids. He just put into a few seconds some of the key adjustments I have been making recently against good opponents and even poor ones, aka check calling to get extra value when they would fold to a raise especially by keeping their bluffs in their range.

Not sure I completely agree with you guys on the Selbst/Mcphee hand. In a tournament there are infinite "spots" you can take (3bet/4bet/bluff raising flops etc), just because you are playing your hardest vs the table doesn't mean you should take every spot. It's not that she wants to be able to 6bet and have Kevin happily muck to her, she is upset for being put into a spot where she feels 6bet shoving the fours is +ev and is forced to make such a high variance play because of how often Kevin will take a "spot" vs her instead of wait and take a different spot vs someone else at the table.

If I sit down in a game for the purpose of making money and happen to have position on a friend, I'll pick and choose the spots to 3bet him etc. if I 3bet him every hand to often to a point where he believes it's not +ev for me to so, he'll probably not be happy about it, which is what Vanessa means here by "coming for her". Obviously it's Kevin's tournament he can take whatever spots he wants.

Not standing up for her behaviour at the table, just think this spot is lot less unethical than you guys think.

I don't agree with the way you are framing the situation. Seems to me that Vanessa was every bit as responsible as Kevin for the way the hand went down. How did he force her into a spot any more than she forced him into a spot? Her sense of self-entitlement is off the charts. I bet she would have acted very differently if she had hit a set. And her pouting and totally insincere "nice hand" comments are about what I would expect from an eight-year-old child (or Hellmuth).

M = 1000 and the whole thing is a date in the not so distant past.

That was a painful segment.

That's how I saw it too. Also if she's friends with Liv she was well out of order putting her on the spot about the hand in front of the cameras.
