No password for the Pokercast game?

I always like Steve in the Isle of Man's segment.

Hey Folks. Apologies for no password protection on this weeks Sunday tourney. I guess it's not much of an invitational this week. The field will be bigger than usual likely.

Good news - it is still running(6-max), still has the $300 added and $50 bonuses for Top 18 finishes and the prize pool will be bigger.

Bad news - there could be a lot of Russian in the chatbox.

Great show guys, rly loved the interview with Will.

Keep up the great work !

Good show as always, but how do you set the line at 4.5 f-bombs on an interview with Failla? Or was the line just for the first 30 seconds?

I was sure one of them was angling with that line.

Boston and Failla in the same show is some of the best radio I've ever listened to.

Next time try to get them on at the same time! Great show guys!

I SAW a PH clothing once ! It was guy at wsop (probably ME) who was sitting right next to PH and was coached by PH previously (so he got it for "free" I suppose). He had complete set so they were like twins.. The funny thing is that guy sucked out or played some weird hand with PH and the usual stuff happened.

dont worry, MJ will be all Russian-friendly once its time to start making WSOP bracelet bets

If Nicolai Volkof entered the Main Event, MJ would take him in the 4th round.

MJ

If state or federal legislation required a company to locate poker customer service and technical infrastructure on US soil, it would be more stringent than the rules governing financial services.

Most US banks have off-shored a lot of customer service and IT infrastructure, particularly to India. I used to work for a company that ran a US financial and commodity derivatives exchange from London and that was completely acceptable to regulators. It was eventually relocated to the US because of network latency, rather than regulation.

I can, however, imagine that a company like Party might decide to locate in US (say Nevada) for goodwill and being squeaky clean purposes.

Incidentally, when poker returns to the US, Ceaser's and MGM seem best placed to capture the market. Ceaser's because of the WSOP brand and MGM because they own the top brick and mortar brands (Aria and Bellagio). I fancy MGM because, I think a lot of people would be attracted to the idea of being able to turn up at the Aria or Bellagio and use their on-line roll to buy chips (which is a pretty easy thing to implement). It may be that people will not actually do it but the idea is attractive.

The home game I play in is run by a guy who I have never seen without the PH hat on. He even has a photo on his wall wearing the hat from a tournament he was in over year ago.

Evidence that the window for Federal Regulation might be closed this year, but that doesnt mean stop banging on the door of your representatives.
