Yet another great episode. Thanks guys. GL in Vegas.

This statement by Adam was one that especially hit home to me: "It's such a weird and absolutely bizarre situation because if I were to have told you or asked you three months ago, ya know what, what are the chances--what odds would you give me that Full Tilt Poker was shut down before Absolute? You know, or Cereus? Or, that you would even be talking about those two sites in the same breath, that they're both having, you know, the issues that they're having. It's just so bizarre to me that the site's been shut down for five days now. I don't know how they can let a billion-dollar company go in the direction it's gone, and not even come out with a statement, and not say what's going on. It's just--you couldn't write this. If you said this was going to happen, people would laugh at you. There's no way this is going to happen."

Wow. Amazing appearance by NoahSD. Informed, logical assumptions and presents the information extremely well. Nice job.

I wanted to touch on a comment Adam made that the team Full Tilt wouldn't/shouldn't receive any flack at the WSOP because they didn't have an understanding of the day to day business. But shouldn't there be an obligation that they have an understanding of how a company operates that they partly own?

Absolutely red pros should not get any heat as they are employees of a company. Shouldn't there be a huge distinction though between owners and employees?

I think Adam's comment was saying the exact same thing as yours, and I don't think there's any disagreement between you and him. He mentioned red pros (such as Matt Hawrilenko, who he mentioned several times by name) should not be given heat because they weren't involved in the company. Obviously Matt Hawrilenko does not have partial ownership of the company, so why blame him? People who do own the company are the ones we should direct the blame at; exactly what you said.

I don't think there's any disagreement between you and Adam. Either that, or I've completely misinterpreted what Adam said (which is certainly possible, so I'll wait for him to come in and clarify himself).

Yeah, MJ, did you jinx it by taunting Adam about it on the podcast?

Adam, nice handling of the doubling cube btw on that bet!

In fact, I think that you double jinxed it, because you didn't want PH to win another bracelet, so for it to not happen, Rast had to win his 2nd of the series.

That's what happens when you parlay contradictory bets/wishes together!

Hey, another great episode guys!

I was pretty disappointed to hear about Todd Brunson's comment. "Jap" is a racial slur and I'm offended to hear him use it. I am a Japanese American who has had family members give their lives for the United States during WWII while their loved ones were interned in camps. What absolute lack of class and a blatant show of ignorance.

Well i could have got wrong exactly what Adam said but my point was more towards the community not appearing to be making a clear distinction between red pros and team full tilt who should have actively understood what is happening in a company they own.

I'm not even japanese and I was disturbed by his comments too.

I doubt Todd Brunson meant anything racist with what he said, I just think he lacks class. ( and maybe tilted at the time ? )

When Adam and MJ was discussing Todd Brunson's Jap comment my first thought was "douchebag" not "racist".

It's pretty hard to interpret what he said as anything but racist

Racist and ignorant,

But Adam calling him Comic Book Guy is definitely deserving of a good thumping.

Excellent show again this week. Two great guests.

Neil Channing was entertaining as always and NoahSD must be the most informed person in the world when it comes to the whole FTP debacle.

Yes, it's disturbing.

another great show...I was listening to it in my car when right in the middle of Neil Channings taxi story...epic fail! I had only downloaded half apparently and had to reload a day later. Channing was superb as always, and you gotta love that Noah SD, the community is far better with him as a part of it...

btw - there's a rumor floating that with FTP down Uncle Howie will be helping out the Epic Poker League. Seems his primary responsibilty will be collecting entry fees: he accepts cash, WU, Moneybookers, Stars (No UB), or a 'get out of jail free' card from Monopoly...

(am awaiting confirmation from fakegushansen)

Go Pokercast listeners in the Main Event!!!!! (looks like Raymer just busted...day one run bad?)

Could Phil Hellmuth really win the WSOP POY? I will be more disgusted than Adam.

Another Great Show guys , Neil Channing always cracks me up. Look forward to Vegas Shows.

I'd like to thank MJ and Adam for the nice words about André Akkari and the brazilian rail. You guys have no idea of how poker is growing around here in Brazil and how much of an idol Andre is for us brazilians. Here are some nice pictures taken by a french reporter during and after the heads-up:

The rail

Caio Pimenta (Online mtt beast) with tears in his eyes

Akkari's wife and Maridú (in the back)

Pure emotion

Maybe Adam can parlay his gaygushansen gaffe into a gig as a newswoman in Albuquerque.

07-08-2011 , 04:47 PM
have to play that on the show
07-08-2011 , 08:14 PM
wow...great pics! I reserve the right to find a challenger to Brazil in football (friendly competition is a good thing eh?) but its fantastic for Akkari and the entire country to enjoy such a wonderful win!

I know MJ is on the stats here, is it possible Phil Hellmuth will be setting a record for # of WSOP 2nd place finishes (or final tables) in one year WITHOUT a win? It would be wonderfully ironic for him to hold a record that is decidedly about being a runner-up rather than a winner.
