I forgot but I think Bunner added the info in one of the breaks. I'll check it out and if not, we'll come up with a Plan B.

oh damn, busted for skipping the breaks

Ty mike. U guys gonna keep doing the show, long term. The poker boom lives on in the rest of the world and I'm looking forward to the show being less us-centric. Maybe it will give u reason to do more shows from around the world and see some amazing places and cities. Keep it up. I'm a pro player and love the content u provide. It's very entertaining and listen to every show several times every week.

Can I bring my wizard? Over

My first thought about $250 daily cashout was that it sounds like they are trying to prevent non-US players from a "run on the bank"

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bank_run

"Several techniques can help to prevent bank runs. They include temporary suspension of withdrawals" - reducing the withdrawal limit has the same effect

OMFG....Seiborg = greatest song ever!!!
04-26-2011 , 05:53 PM
Just getting the download, the heat and humidity seems to have slowed e-traffic down to a crawl and this thing is taking forever...argh 66%.....mmhhmmm 67%..... is this another 4-hr extravaganza?...looks like a great lineup. This Eric Seidel song this has me a bit worried though.

$250 per week, not per day

I don't think it's far from the truth, maybe not this exact situation, but definitely a liquidity issue.

Didn't listen yet, really annoyed I forgot headphones at work so won't be able to listen on commute in. Looking forward to the lineup even though I don't know who this Steve Day guy is. Hope you can get Pokerstars Steve on soon though, wondering if I can ever buy some items with my fpps. They should create a special edition t-shirt along the lines of "pokerstars banned in the usa edition." gl Canucks

Same result. Nasty for players.

Still in the Steve Day interview; nice to hear a more personal Steve, I never realised that he was a 'real' player, always thought he was just a personable exec (Sorry Steve!)

$250/week would make it hard for anyone to pay the bills eh?

I am still catching up on back episodes and just listened to the one with Rich Muny of the PPA...this ep was less than a year old.

This will sound a lot like Monday morning quarterbacking but in light of recent developments Rich Muny's whole interview reads as either total BS, or someone completely clueless.

Ignorance? or deception? to me it really doesn't matter. Neither are qualities in an organization I would entrust my $$$ or my livelihood.

The PPA may have been started by people with a vision and a good idea.

It seems they may be in a little over their head though???

That song is ****ing amazing

Wow I always though Steve D had the worst voice in radio but it appears it was the telephone. Perfectly normal voice in the studio. I was actualy surprised how different he sounded, I don't think I would have recognised his voice straightaway without knowing it was him.

Shaun Deeb was very very upbeat. Not sure this is a feeling shared by many of us.

On the subject of games being softer without all the US players I can definitely say that the games I play, tournaments, have become noticeably softer. But I tend to think that what is good for PokerStars is indirectly good for me. It's possible Stars will be less generous with its players as a result of the hit they have taken.

The song was very funny, my favourite poker song so far.

Sushi FTW!!!

Great show as always!

If Stars sent Steve D to Vancouver specifically for this discussion, it was money well spent.

Also congrats to Steve D and Mrs. Steve D about upcoming baby D.

Is there a thread of these SNG changes on Stars that PS Steve is talking about?? He didn't say anything about adding super turbo sngs

Life is good for Shaun Deeb apparently, he sees the cataclysmic damage done by the DOJ as a positive development , a chance to work on his live game and take advantage of the high stakes games that are now popping up in Vegas.

Unfortunately for those of us ,who don't have his skills or his bankroll, we can't just move to Vegas and adapt to the new climate so easily , for hundreds of thousands of poker players in the US, our means to our favorite game has been taken away suddenly and painfully and we don't see the future quite so bright.

I for one found his attitude irritating and out of place.

What I have found strange is that SteveD is in studio, talks for about what 45 minutes ...? At the end Adam says ok will go on break will be back after this. They come back from break SteveD is gone without any "thanks Steve for this or anything like it", just nothing. WTF!? lol

about 40 minutes in...great so far.....hope you have a segment with Scarlet, she was superb the last time out...

as for online RPGs, I know little, but there is a very successful web series called 'The Guild' which seems to peg the basic 'characters' one might find in a group of this sort.

The eps are like 10-15mins each and its pretty good fun/distraction.

Time for PokerStars Steve

I saw a blog(?) post from Shaun Deeb on Black Friday or Black Friday+1 and it was incredibly insensitive to everyone not living in Vega$ or not rolled well enough to just pick up their backpack full of cash and relocate.

Mike and Adam have only spoke of him with adoration and respect, and since they know him, and I don't, I defer to their judgement.

Poker features a wide ranging cast of characters, and as long as the Hellmuths, Annie Dukes, and Prahlad Friedmans, the Russ Hamiltons, the Sorel Mizzis, the Men Nguyens, and the Russ Boyds are around, I'll let Shaun F***ing Deeb slide
