I think that hanging out with this guy, you would have to learn. A terrific interview. What impresses me the most, is how well structured his answers are. Boston would say, while just "winging it". PLease, please have him on again. A 7 stud show perhaps. A life lesson show. Find some reason to allow this man to bring more joy and knowledge to those that listen. Jean Robert was not bad either. Great job boys. I must say, that Boston is the number one interview I have heard on your show.
LOL!

Alan, is that you?

lol Alan Boston called Antoine Saout playing 3-handed at the ME FT a 'nit'.

Downloading now. Cant't wait. I really enjoyed Alan Boston the last time. And love JRB's twitter.

completely agree, guy is a legend! If only he was more of a poker player than a sports bettor. He's been on PAD once but would be great to see him on TV more, would be great TV imo, especially if other loud mouths were playing along side him.

Awesome show guys! A++ The only comment I have is the dates, I think Sunday is on the 5th!

Just wanted to add (being euro) that barcelona is notorious for the pickpocketers and there is signs all over the city warning. That said, obviously its 100% their own fault if u party with 4k€ in cash and lose it.

Anyone got the link for the Sebastian Blom interview mentioned this week?

I have to let all know, that any post by me, willl be made by me.
I was out of line calling all at the final table nits as I truly do not know the players well enough to do so. I got a bit carried away trying to be right, never a good thing.
Mike asked me to pop in and comment in the stud section when I have a chance. Will do. I am glad to read that most enjoyed. I shall be on again if asked. Be good all.

Not a level. It's him. I told him how to register for an account earlier.

Great show, even better than the norm if I may say so; Alan Boston gave great entertainment and insight. Any chance of organising a 'best of the best pokercast guests' pokercast in the future; something like Boston, Channing and Cyr?

Hey in Japanese, the way Mike said Karate (Kahh-Rahh-Tay) is correct. Ka-ra-tee is wrong, if you go by how the Japanese would pronounce it. So that's the discrepancy.

Oh, and on that subject, Karaoke is the same way, kahh-raah-oh-kay, rather than the weird mispronunciation of carry-o-kay (how do you get "carry" out of "kara"?)
12-03-2010 , 04:31 PM
The pronunciation "Carry-O-Kee" helps prevent drunk people bringing potentially head-crushing mallets into a bar full of bad singers.

Things I learned from this weeks PokerCast:

1. Alan Boston is probably running Windows Vista.

2. Knowing Mom's birthday is +EV.

3. It's my own **** fault I get mugged.

4. Not everyone knows how to say "Mahshetayyyyy"

5. Looks like I picked the wrong week to quit sniffing glue.

Seriously though, I was dying laughing the whole time! This show rocked!!!

I wonder if the majority of people who have "missfortunes" there arent partly to blame. I mean its not difficult to take basic precautions. + if those guys chased after someone in the USA and the bar owner thought they were holding up the place they would have had a gun in their face not a ma-chat-aaeey.

also if you chase after someone .... thats how you get stabbed.
This, it's not like Barça is like this:

btw, Alan Boston approaching Phil Laak status in the House of Bonobo11

First time listener and quite enjoyed the show this week. Alan Boston really puts it all out there for better or worst. I feel bad that his handicapping style is almost obsolete though.
Also enjoyed the tribute to Leslie Nielsen deadpan when Bellande says he's evenly matched overall with Baldwin in the 3 games

i think JRB was talking about Billy Baxter but I'm not sure that changes your joke. Thx for trying the show and hope you check out the archives.

That was a great show guys. Boston is the man!

I'm sorry, but barca does have a bad reputation for muggings compared with other western cities. I nearly got my wallet snatched when I was there. I don't think it matters how much cash Renolds was carrying- they probably wet themselves with excitment when they saw how much they managed to get.

Why Barcelona has this problem, despite (almost) everyone knowing about it, I have no idea.

Hmmm. I went to Spain, not India.
I really enjoyed the Costa del Sol, but Barcelona was dirty and almost spooky. There were so many creepy people hanging around everywhere.
Usually when I stay in a 5 Star hotel, I am not afraid to venture more than 100 meters from the hotel entrance. At The Arts, I was afraid to leave the parking lot.

They shouldn't have been walking around with a stack of cash in the bars around there, that's for sure!

also if you chase after someone .... thats how you get stabbed.

When I chased after the man who robbed me at gun point in Toronto, I wasn't stabbed.
Crazy, eh?
no, you were shot...remember
