Should we try to have Brandi on the Pokercast? Should we try to have Brandi on the Pokercast?

Not sure if she would even join us on the show anyway(don't see why not) but serious question though.

Would regular listeners of the show find her story interesting enough for us to pursue this or do you think we are just stoking the fires of dying gossip that people have lost interest in?

Also is it too 'gossipy' and not 'poker' enough for the show?

Thoughts please?

When we originally talked about it I thought it would be funny. But now I just think it's kind of sad. Almost like exploiting a very troubled person for our own enjoyment. She needs a team of professionals around the clock to get on the road to a healthy life.

After lurking on this forum for a few years, this thread has prompted me to make my first post.

Please do not have this girl on the show...

...but, of course, I would listen.

yes plz
sure we all hate her, but the show would be great.

I think there are enough valid topics to cover that you needn't pander to the lowest common denominator. IMO.

100% yes.

I would consider you are both taking one for the team if this follows through as well.

NO!
I always valued the seriousness you brought to your old show "Rounders". I listened to the Hoss_TBF interview over and over again, because his strategic tidbits were so interesting. I always valued that you touched on important poker news and legislation as it would affect me and don't just rattle down a tournament result list.

When you came over to 2+2 the few shows before that you promised that this was going to be a show dealing with more strategy. You even said you would have hand analysis (which you sometimes had with Rounders) and all we get are cryptic 1-minute messages, that while very funny, are not that amazingly strategic most of the time.

To misquote Adam here: you are turning 60 minutes into TMZ! Yeah, TMZ is a guilty pleasure, but if I want a story covered, I turn to 60 minutes.

I remember Jerry Springer interviewing Oliver North in the early days of the Jerry Springer Show. One or two transvestites later, bam. Look what you wind up with.

No, she's just an attention whore
03-14-2008 , 09:45 PM
didnt this tard change her name and skip town?

With so much going on in Poker legislation, tournaments, etc... is she relevant? Stuff like this is unnecessary.

Yes! You will have your best ratings ever.

Absolutly Not!-Neverwinpoker interviewed her and it was a silly jok

The strategy of not talking about her or allowing threads about here should apply to you as well -lock the thread and drop it

Valid point. Gossip is sooooo good though.

Hell no. I think I would be dumber after listening to that interview. I think someone has requested Greg Raymer, I think that would be much more entertaining/relevant/smart.

I can agree on relevant and smart, but not entertaining. I'd probably listen in for Brandi.

Mike, if you want to have her, that's fine. I mean, everyone else has, but to do her on the show, that's just sick. I, for one, don't want to listen to your grunting and her moaning, or lack thereof.

The whole Brandi-saga has gone from being fun and entertaining to being pretty creepy, sad and depressing. I think Brandi needs a lot of things - people fueling the fire and giving her more exposure is not one of them.

I think its wrong to have her on the show, because as far as poker goes, shes very irrelevant. shes just a gambling addict who masquerades herself as a poker player while banging every degen in vegas and stealing money from them. she should not be respected as a poker player, and definitely deserves no respsect as a human being, so having her on the show would make me think less of myself if i were to listen, and think less of the show itself. why not just have jjprodigy on the show and toss him a couple of softballs like pokerroad did. we're trying to promote poker in a good light arent we? lets try and stay away from the sluts, the degens, the cheaters, and filthy old men like captain tom.

Every word that came out of her mouth would be complete crap anyway. I vote for content over controversy.
