Haralabos was awesome.

Great to hear about how much work he put into his basketball sports betting to make a buck of that game.

Sorry Phil, but I got the nickname "Poker's Justin Bieber" first. (fml)

Pokernews (bottom of page).

I'm more than happy to hand it over to him obviously.

Mike and Adam, usually a great cast but the Liverpool hooligan joke was poor and uneducated. You are better than a s*n "newspaper" reporter. I'm from Liverpool and have followed the team for as long as I can remember, never been involved in or really witnessed Liverpool fans behaving like hooligans. It is an outdated, incorrect stereotype!
Other than that, great show as always. Sorry for the pissy comment, but you insulted my true love!

It was more of a general joke about English soccer than Liverpool specifically, but sorry if you were offended, it was made in jest.

I think you are under the impression that I made the story up. If simply repeating what someone who was there told me is being 'uneducated', not sure what else i can do.

Inthepub5's exact quote in the event sweat thread...

"liverpool vs everton game = alot of drinking + fighting in liverpool. sadly i ended up on the bad end of it cuts and bruises and a mate ended up in hospital so i had to go wait with him"

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/97...l#post22318109 - post #148

If you claim there are never any fights at liverpool games, that completely contradicts this poster who says there is 'alot of fighting in liverpool'

I agree with p0k3r5t3, it's not nice to apply negative stereotypes when talking about people from certain places.

You can learn more about real Scousers from this popular UK documentary.

I know, that's why I said sorry. No offence taken, we're sitting second from bottom of the league, I'm getting crap about Liverpool every day.
At least hooliganism in England stayed in the stands or outside, unlike that ice hockey! Your players are the hooligans!

Good one, if I had £1 for everytime someone said "calm down, calm down" to me I would be playing the nosebleeds.

Mike and Adam, thanks for your responses and i am definately not pissed off. It is a kind of compulsion to defend all things LFC. If i was reading inthepub5's comment, i think he meant in the city centre there was trouble, not actually at the game. Fights in any city centre are going to happen when large numbers of people are drinking, fights in and around football stadiums are becoming almost non-existent, thankfully.

Anyway, i don't want to steal the thread and the fact that it was another good episode, just slightly overshadowed by the fact that last weeks one was the best one i've ever heard.

Does the fact that Bunner is a big Liverpool supporter and flew to Liverpool to see them play ManU this time last year help any?

A lot, especially since tickets to that game are rarer than rocking horse ****. So much so, in fact, that I think Bunner should present the show, he wouldn't make such an inappropriate comment about the greatest fans in the world.

Note to Bunner; you should have edited it out!

Only joking, it's nice to hear some football talk on the pokercast for a change, maybe Bunner could present a 5 minute segment update on the premier league each week, right after your update on blood sports like hockey?
