PokerCast Episode 143 - Victoria Coren, Roland De Wolfe & Neil Channing PokerCast Episode 143 - Victoria Coren, Roland De Wolfe & Neil Channing

10-12-2010 , 07:32 AM
Live from Two Plus Two Studios, October 11th 2010 - The Two Plus Two PokerCast team returns from a well deserved week off to bring you a UK Special featuring some of the biggest names in poker from across the pond. Mike and Adam start off by connecting with Victoria Coren, 2006 EPT London Champion and recent recipient of 'Best Contribution to Poker' at The British Poker Awards. Victoria discusses her early days playing poker in Britain, her continued work as an established journalist and shares some great stories about her fellow poker pros. The guys follow that up by tracking down Roland De Wolfe, one of only two players to ever complete pokers "Triple Crown" winning a WSOP, WPT and EPT title. Roland and the guys chat about his deep run at this years WSOP Europe Main Event, his decision to leave journalism and pursue poker full time and even plays some word association. We're also treated with the return appearance of the always entertaining Neil Channing, who recently took down the award for "Best Cash Player" at The British Poker Awards. Neil gets into how his staking enterprise did at this years World Series and of course shares some great stories from the UK poker scene. Deuces Cracked coach Michael Newman provides some more great poker strategy about 'Three Betting' in this weeks Leggo Poker/Deuces Cracked strategy segment. The guys also discuss forum static and give away the passwords for the October 17th Poker Stars VIP Club Invitational for PokerCast listeners.

Just downloaded from Itunes, and 4th!

Thanks for the mention on the show. Starting out, I'll be mostly writing for the BluffMagazine.com site, but maybe some of my work will appear in the magazine.

Great show guys. Vicky's 'glimpse onto the underworld' of the early days of Late Night Poker is super.

Spoiler alert for UK viewers of the current Late Night Poker series. Neil tells us the winner.

Vicky ended up 3rd in her tournament on PokerStars for a nice score. Another notch in the Pokercast Karma belt.

Vicky was very well spoken and insightful on poker/roulette.

Many poker players can relate to the pit game downfalls.
