Boston money - Let It Ride (...baby).

[The guy on the left is also a very interesting dude. I didn't put him together with what else he had done until I saw the No Reservations episode Outer Boroughs.]

+1 for this in any capacity. Bummer we couldn't have gotten that $900 on one of the animal-related charities' rOOTlette spots.

Hey guys, I'm not sure if the word Spastic means something else in the US, but in the UK it is a very offensive word, seldom used in public. Just thought you should know.

They're all Canadians, but either way it means crazy/unpredictable/out of control in North America.

For a little more context it's the equatable to calling someone a retard.

From Wikipedia:

Quote:
The medical term "spastic" came into use to describe cerebral palsy.[3] The Scottish Council for the Care of Spastics was founded in 1946, and the Spastics Society, an English charity for people with cerebral palsy, was founded in 1951.
However, the word began to be used as an insult and became a term of abuse used to imply stupidity or physical ineptness: one who is uncoordinated or incompetent, or a fool.[4] It was often colloquially abbreviated to shorter forms such as "spaz".
I think it's all about context. If you call someone a spastic or a retard then it's out of line, but if you're describing something that moves/acts like it has spasms or if you're describing something that's slowing down then spastic and retard would be ok.

Got a little behind and am just getting caught up. At the beginning of the episode, TChan mentions something about the value of WSOP satellite tourneys and the pay out in lammers. Couple of questions.....If you win lammers and don't enter a tourney can the lammers be cashed in at the cage? Is there a "re-sale" market? Can lammers be used in future years? Can you get stuck with them?

Re: Pokercast 466 - Pre-Main Event Pod, PokerGo, Taking Action for Aussie Online Poker & Peehs

There is a re-sale market. People pretty much buy them at face value. In the past as I've walked up to buy in to a tourney, usually a couple people surround me and ask if I will buy lammers. I usually do because why not.

Not sure about the year to year thing, it would be best to get them off of your hands that same year.

It is also quicker buying into larger buy-in tourneys with chips or lammers instead of cash.
