For the love of the kittens! For the love of the kittens!

Literally my first ever post. No doubt get flamed in some way....

Just wanted to say I love the pokercast. Makes my trips in the car so much better. I like the banter and infact while there is a lot of poker news I'm a massive fan of just hearing you guys banter each other.

I'd like it if you did a mini episode on Warwick uni. And talk to rups and kanu a round table would be sweet. I think they had one year at uni together if I remember right. Also maybe ask Rupert about his little tortoise!

Keep up the good work!

Also if you do need to add cats to kill. Can you start with my neighbours? It ****s everywhere!

Plenty of other big successes came out of Warwick! I didn't actually know Kanu that well, probably talked more after uni. I remember playing him HU once in a £10 SNG at poker society. Poker soc was hosted on a Monday night and I was in my first year. Monday nights normally meant going out at "Top Banana" at the student union and I was keen to go so I jammed every hand. Eventually he called my Q3 with 44 and won. I think I'll let him keep any sort of re-match...

Koopa isn't so little now, he's 18cm and 850g. Still awesome tho.

Weird... maybe it's a regional thing but when I think of a tortoise, I envision an animal of twice that size. (Or to use poker parlance, 18cm falls on the bottom end of my range, size-wise.) By the way, I'm excluding those giant tortoises that kids can ride. Those are just freakish.

Great name, though.

Which brings me to an odd little coincidence: so you guys are talking about great poker players who share your alma mater. The best player to come from my university is Randy Lew, whose screen name is very similar to the Japanese name for Koopa.

Well he's nearly 7 and this type fully grow around 15 or something so he's got a bit to go yet. Should end up about 30-35cm I think. Bit of a convoluted coincidence there but I'll let it slide!

I remember having to trek to Westwood to play. Still I think it'd be interesting To have you two on the show. As a Warwick uni round table as to successes and back story

Not a cat guy so let the executions begin/continue

I've listened to every episode since the "World Premiere" in JAN 2008 and have loved every minute of it.

Your show has gotten me through countless hours of driving to and from work, whether in the US or out here in the middle of nowhere on Guam. Furthermore, I would always abstain from listening for a month or two, and then load up my iPod with the ones I'd missed, so I had something to look forward to listening to on long underways on the submarine. If you're still tracking interesting places where the pokercast has been listened
to, you can add this lat/long 0'00'00/180'00.00W (Intersection of Equator and International dateline).

Being stationed outside the US going on 5 years the Pokercast has kept me connected to the poker community.

The new format is awesome. I find myself looking forward to each "segment" (the Joan Rivers berating never gets old). I especially enjoy Bump- led to me cooking one of the best steaks ever last week.

Thanks for all the hard work and keep it up.

When are you guys coming out to the Pokerstars VIP room in Maccau? It's the closest place I go to play poker.

How do you have 4 cats?

I've never understood the appeal at all, like imagine you fall off a ladder, a dog would be like oh damn I need to help this guy out.

A cat would be like oi get up I need to be fed

I collected about 100 cat gifs for a cat lover friend. I'm tempted to dump them all here.

The previous Full Tilt/Garden City Group thread probably had that many... it's how we passed the time.

Yeeesh, the one of the tiger waking up reminds me how creepy the haw of a cat's eye can be. My parents' old cat, if you woke him up too soon, would try to open his eyes but that flap would stay closed. Looked like an exorcist baby.
