This has been going on for a while, but the WTO have finally given the go-ahead to Antigua to reclaim the revenue they have lost by the US "banning Internet gambling" by selling pirate media!
Thought it might be worthy of a news item on the Pokercast.....?
It's goofy as hell, but I kinda have to applaud them. Even my retired grey haired mother-in-law and her retired teacher posse has been accosted at games.
I see that the wife is technically clever regarding doughnuts.
What are the green(ish?)-glazing doughnuts in the middle? Atomic Apple?
Yup, Atomic Apple.
It was a filler really. They had basically nothing left, and had sold the racks before they came out of the kitchen every 15 minutes. I just luck-boxed my way into the Bacon-Maples, which were the primary objective for stopping by.
As a total n00b (see how much of a n00b I am, I even used the word, "n00b"), I hate to butt in here and be kinda off topic, but I will.
First of all, to mitigate the off-topic-ness, I'll say that I have been listening to the pokercast while I work for going on two weeks now. That's grinding through back episodes, trying to get current, at least eight hours a day. As a painter, this is easy to do. I'm up to episode 249, and I'm starting to feel like these guys are part of my routine. Start the day - are the boys lined up? Yep? Good to go. That I also live in Vancouver and am cruising my mid-forties gives a lot of common ground. Did I ever think I would find a podcast that references the Big Lebowski more than I do? I think not.
I could go all sycophantic, but I'm too tired right now. Here's why I posted:
1. Bunner, play some more hip hop, dammit. Even an old guy likes some breaks. How about some old Sweatshop Union for local flava? Or drop some Wax Tailor or Gasoline for the abstract hip hop thing. Ish.
2. Can you please direct me to the most current thread featuring photoshop work? This place is so damn huge I have had no luck. I have a good one I'd like to post, featuring Antonio, Blom, and Selbst.
Okay, so I've looked through the guidelines for this forum and seen that they specifically ask you not to ask for a thread pointer. Fair enough. But I have seriously spent some time searching for a good, current photoshop thread. Smack me if you will.

I've spent the last two weeks listening to the archives, trying to catch up on some Mike, Adam, and Bunner. You guys do amazing work and your podcast is on point. Thanks for all your hard work. It keeps the commute in California more than bearable.
On the topic of Canadian born music here are a few contemporary bands that I think are worth mentioning:
Arcade Fire
Wolf Parade
Sunset Rubdown
Broken Social Scene
Godspeed You! Black Emperor
Do Make Say Think
****ed Up
Holy ****
Hot Hot Heat
Japandroids
Fiest
P.O'd at PokerStars. Just saw the 'Regional' in the PS lobby where one could enter with 20 FPP's to gain a ticket to the Imperial party without spending 1500 FPP's. Too late for me, having recently used up all my FPP's on other sats. Cannot for the life of me figure out why they'd wait so long to put up the party sat.
Reminds me of the turbo sats to the Canadian Championship they put up way too late. Turned out the game was under subscribed. Go figure.
While I'm at it, not every Canadian lives and dies hockey. You'd be lucky if 10% of our population even watched the final. Seems every PS promo (indirectly) involves millionaires on skates bashing each other.
That's all...........

Reason: OCD
On the basis that this thread mentions Canada can we get some support going for moving the Winter Olympic there - sure to Adam and Mike would love to get a chance to see some figure skating....oh wait no I meant hockey.....
Good to see Canada rocking at the Rogers Cup this week, especially on the men's side with Milos Raonic and BC's Vasek Pospisil reaching the semis on a big stage. The finals between Raonic and Nadal should be entertaining.
Good to see those 2 guys (Raonic, Pospisil) playing with confidence, because we'll need them against Serbia in the Davis Cup' semi-finals after the U.S. Open!
