I admit that I was considering stepping aside, but seeing your fan mail brightened my day so much that I've decided to stay another year or five. I do this as a labour of love, after all, and fans like you truly make it worth it.

Hugs and kisses,

Maybe fixed. Someone try and let me know.

I was able to download episode 471 from the ITunes store, but I still get an error on the RSS feed, it doesn't update.

Seems to be working now. Hopefully the next episode will auto download

How does the error on the RSS feed manifest? It validates and when I open iTunes for Windows I see a correct list.

It doesn't update the feed and gives me the same error as above, the error meaning it can't navigate to the file.

I can download the podcast episode from the store, so whatever was done for those files needs to be done for the .rss file as well.

It has something to do with how HSTS doesn't work with old or unknown browsers, I think. [Or maybe ITunes has cached the info]

I think this is indirectly related. See how IE9 doesn't navigate to the twoplustwo homepage, trying to use https. It can't download the .rss file. Can get to forumserver using http.

Can you try unsubscribing and resubscribing? The feed is correct. I can't read the information in the screenshots clearly. Does it state the feed URL?

Same error here as Hammer.

I unsubscribed, deleted the podcast and all the episodes, closed ITunes and went back in, subscribed from the store, now it is working.

So try unsubscribing and subscribing!

Same. Hopefully just a little glitch.

Thanks Hammer

Working for me now. Didn't have to do anything but hit the download icon. The error went away and the podcast starting downloading. Got both 470 and 471. All is well again. Thanks to whoever fixed it.

It's happening again, at least for me. Haven't been able to download since #477.

Hey Smitty,

As yours has been the only instance of this particular error code, I wonder if maybe it's something on your end?

Here's an apple support question regarding that error code:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204550

Let me know if this helps!

SimonH22, Smitty300, can you tell me about your environment? What client are you trying to download with? Windows? Mac? Linux? Something else? Any other information you have might be useful.

Using iTunes version 12.7.0.166 on a Windows 10 Home machine. Windows 10 version 1703, OS Build 15063.674. 8GB RAM. 64-bit operating system.

Every other podcast I subscribe to is working just fine.

Thanks for the help.

I am running the exact same version of iTunes on my Windows 10 Enterprise machine and seeing no issues at all. The earlier problem we had was definitely related to a configuration problem on our end that caused problems (mostly) for iTunes on Windows.

The Apple support article suggests that there is malware or something involved on your Windows machine. I assume you have checked for that, but I am otherwise at a loss for where to proceed.

How widespread is this problem? There are two reports here, but I've only seen the details of Smitty300's problem. It might be helpful if others provide there configuration information.

On Windows Vista, ITunes 12.1.3.6, I get the error if I subscribe to the podcast. I can download the podcast episode from the ITunes store.

I also have the problem since last week: Windows 10, iTunes 12.7.0.166

Tried deleting the Pokercast and all episodes from iTunes. Resubscribed and the same error appeared. Same as Hammerhands, I am able to download episodes directly from the iTunes store. So, it seems the auto-update is the issue.
