The end of the Pokercast?? The end of the Pokercast??

08-07-2018 , 10:52 PM
It's been fun.

I started listening after Black Friday and have hardly missed an episode since. Tiny bit disappointed that you weren't able to see it through the end of the WSOP, but there's no way you could do a "normal" pokercast now that the end has been announced.

Thanks guys for all the time and effort put into it. GG and GL!

My favorite podcast noooooooooo!

Thanks for the memories

Got an IPhone in 2009 and the Pokercast was the first podcast I ever listened to. Haven’t missed an episode since. Will sorely be missed. God speed.

Listened to almost every episode since the beginning. Thanks for all the work from everyone who was ever involved. It was enjoyed and appreciated.

Another listener to the pokercast since the beginning.

Thanks to all who worked on the show over the years. It'll be sadly missed.

Wow, thanks for the memories. This remains my favorite podcast ever, and this is coming from someone who quite literally started assembling a PokerRoad Radio compendium back in the day (no, really, I still have it... two years worth of their show before I ran out of time).

Just removed the weekly "listen to PokerCast" reminder from my Google Calendar.

Thanks to all involved for the countless hours of listening pleasure.

I'm really surprised at how sad this makes me.

Since starting to listen to this podcast, I have been directed to other great podcasts, Vlogs, contributed to the WSOP Fantasy League and had a fuller life. I want to sincerely thank all of you for sharing your thoughts and lives with us. May you always "Hit 'em in the face" (drop added).

Thanks for the countless hours of entertainment. It was a good run guys, you should feel proud.

Thanks guys! It was a great run. Thanks for all your time and dedication to the show. I will truly miss it. It's going to be weird driving to my local casino without the Pokercast.

My favorite episode was the one going into the details of the UB cheating scandal. I can't remember the guest's name, but you went into how the scandal was exposed through the hand histories, etc. It was riveting to listen to.

May life bring you all joy, peace, and MANY ZEROES.

So, what other poker podcast do you guys suggest to help the grieving process?

Thanks in advance!

Great run guys. Always entertaining. See ya when I see ya ( on the felt ). GO BLUE !!!

I started listening in 2009 and was instantly hooked
I remember feeling all tingly when MJ read out my name for some totally incidental thing.
Then I got emails read out on the show.
And now I run the games around here, help mod the forum and have been on the show twice.

This was the first podcast of any kind I listened to (If you don't count the Ricky Gervais one) but now I regularly listen to at least 12 different ones on all sorts of subjects.

Thanks for all the shows and let's not say goodbye, but just smell ya later

I've just gotten off the phone with Sven The Porsche Dealer. He's in as lead sponsor.

This is hitting me harder than I thought. I just took stock and in the over 7 years that I was listening I had 4ish girlfriends, each of whom I subjected to the Pokercast at some point. Coincidence?

In other words, the PC has been one of my longest lasting relationships!

Are you more likely to masturbate to memories of the Pokercast than any of those girlfriends?

The two poker podcasts I listen to the most are Thinking Poker and PokerNews. The latter is the one you want if you want gossip and interviews from the poker world.
08-08-2018 , 06:44 PM
I used to listen to the PokerNews podcast, but had to stop once Donnie left. I enjoyed him with Rich or Remko.

I can't do the PokerCentral podcast except during WSOP, too much tournament poker I don't care about.

Thinking Poker is one I do listen to, but much less humor & gossip, more strategy.

I've actually started listening to Poker Stories by Cardplayer, not subscribing but downloading ones I think I'll find interesting like Mori, Freddy Deeb, Steve Zolotow and skipping the younger people who they interview.

Hi STinLA:

If they would have run off with Mike, Adam, or Terrence, then it would be a coincidence.

Best wishes,
Mason

Does anyone know how to download episodes prior to April 2016? I seem to remember an episode where they talked about issues with converting to a new platform. I use iTunes.

Yeah it hit me harder than I thought too. A serious loss. The guys are just so good. Thanks mason for digging into your pocket and making it happen longer than it otherwise would have.

Posting from other thread...

Wow, I can’t believe this day has come, I have been a poker podcast junkie since 2010 and this was the show I always looked forward to - saving it for the times I could actively listen. Savoring it on my flights to an from my Vegas poker vacations. When MJ left, i was sad and didn’t think the show would survive, but I was elated to see the chemistry that Adam and TChan had. And adding Ross in the mix was awesome. I have recently been trimming my podcast list down to only a few that really added value to my life... and this was the crown jewel of all of them. I felt like a family with you guys, even going to your meet up at the SouthPoint a few years ago and contributing a witty intro a while back. It’s probably just as well that you don’t do an episode 500 so I can always hope that it will come one day. Thanks for all the good times and laughs. I hope to hear from all of you in the future. In the meantime, I will probably go back and find the episodes prior to when I jumped on and relive those by-gone days of the post moneymaker/pre-black Friday boom. Thanks again for all you have done for me personally as a recreational player and poker fanboy!
