wtf, fold 2nd nutz? wtf, fold 2nd nutz?

11-12-2009 , 12:55 PM
Villain is super standard 14/13/3 over 600 Hands,
No special reads so far, never played any big pots with that guy.
BTN 30/10 over 30ish hands

I called PF cause BTN was a donk and I wanted to keep him in the pot + BB´s 3bet in the BB was 3%.
I donk the turn cause I think I´ve some FE + If I get called and I hit I can get value on the river.
Is there anything wront with my line so far?

I feel like the only hand villain does that with is the Nutz and I really feel bad about calling but wtf , can folding the 2nd nutz be good or is it just a snapcall?

Thx 4 any comments

Hands like this are the reasons we have bankrolls imo. I meh "I guess I call" click call and move on.

I mean I doubt he calls 89 or T9

IMO if hero bet a little more on turn, it might be easier to get away from this.
Assuming this villain isn't going to call getting ~2:1 with a naked flush draw (and considering all the other non-ace overs are busy in our hand) on turn, the river shove over narrows his range to mostly AcXc. In game, I doubt I fold, but thinking about it afterward the line makes perfect sense.

Why bet the flop? I have TPGK w/NFD. Why raise the turn brick, I have TPGK w/NFD? Why not shove over river, I haz nutz and he likes his hand...

If villain was running 20/18 I'd think there were enough small flushes in his range to make a wtf call.

Sick.

This is like the easiest reason to call. Even if he has a bad kicker i expect him to bet with TP/NFD on the flop.

I realize this is taking reads not present in the original post into account.

it's pretty hard to see a solid tag just overshove the river with the 3rd nuts or worse here,

imo he had a monster on the flop like Ac4c/3c and decided to slow play and check raise BTNs C bet parhaps, when that plan failed the hand plays itself out more or less

fold

+10. I'd fold against this particular villain. I'd also agonize about why he didn't raise the turn if he really has AXcc. I think this Villain would only shove that river with KXcc at weakest.

I know that villain shoving on riv was unexpected to some degree. However if when you lead out on the you were thinking b/c which I think would be the thinking here, then you should call.

It's a good post. A tough spot, I call. TJcc makes sense, tiny chance of some kind of set too.
