Yeah um in case you missed it I was one of the people who said I'm not sure it could be done and then the prop bet was formed. You'll also see I bet against it. So to my knowledge it has not been done or if it has been done it'd be pretty hard to maintain. Sounds like you've already given someone credit for doing this.

Also I was commenting on the volume....

He has strict boundaries he has to adhere to while achieving this number of hands. The pressure of HAVING to produce results would be more wearing than actually putting in the hands imo.
05-05-2008 , 03:12 AM
lucid - And doing that on 9-12 tables as he's been doing lately and getting only 800 or so hands per hour perhaps is going to make that extremely difficult to do.

Looks like he did take the advice to take a bit of a break though. He wasn't on tonight that I saw.
I fully expect him to come back with a vengeance and be all rested up for a marathon week.

Im holding my thumbs up for Costanza. Following a crazy marathon like this is extremely interesting and shows how much there is money waiting for someone to grab if youre dedicated. Imo ~$9k+RB week at NL1/2 is already something and proves that $40k is doable.

rb/bonuses are not included. if they were this would be so much easier

I know, but the results he has made already are a reason to brag. 10k+ week in NL1/2 is solid.

Not saying this to brag, but if someone is +EV enough to actually do this prop bet, they should have very little/no downswings throughout the period, let alone a "20 buyin downswing"
does anyone that read this ofund this crazymy last 8k hands im down 10bi's

Keli doesn't know what a downswing is because however bad he runs is made up by the fact that people shove random garbage against him when he has the nuts all the time. Coupling that with how much he is winning from outplaying people in smaller pots makes it really hard for him to have a losing day.

does anyone who read this find it crazy that over my last 8k hands i'm down 10 buy ins?

Referencing when keli said that losing 3buyins over 8k hands is a significant downswing

you can't just comment on volume....and compare it to the regs who are currently putting in hands at 1/2. There's a majro difference when costanza has to generate 40k in profits while puttin in the hands.

hence, you can't just comment on volume.

I mean it's possible to run that bad...are you playing well and getting in good? Or playing bad and spewing?

8k hands is nothing, and it doesnt say anything about your true winrate.

Can someone please put up a cliffnotes for those that missed the last few hundred posts?

I wonder win hell give up and move back up to normal stakes whilst still in the Given month for the bet. Be interesting to see an ev calc of when giving up mid challenge and moving up to your normal limit is optimal. someone who can actually write down numbers.......and make some sense of them........gogogogogog.

Costanza's playing again! He's bound to have a few big days that will make up for the downswing. Is the webcam audio down for everyone else?
